Yes, they've had a former Chelsea manager lined up for some time.

Feel sorry for Hart. Came across as a decent type and I atully think Pompey are in a false position. Dead man walking though.

Let's hope they get a bit of new-manager syndrome for Saturday's game eh!

Got to feel sorry for him in a way as he has had to get rid of so many players and got little backing.Chances are if that penalty had gone in against Stoke they would have won and he would still be there. They played better fotball than Stoke on the day and were unlucky.

On the other hand he got the job got paid good money and hopefully will get a good pay off for a pension and yes lets hope the players turn it on on Saturday for the new guy.

Feel sorry for Paul Hart, hope he gets another job soon. He is also the son of former City coach and manager Johnny Hart.

Wife beating Taggart junior is favourite for the manager's job - with Avram Grant staying as director of football.

Why do you feel sorry for him? He doesn't have to hear that fuckin drum banging every week now!!! They've done him a favour.

I feel quite sorry for him. No money for transfers, dodgy takeovers and players that have recently started to play some good football but are still managing to lose. Poor guy.

One of the biggest knocking bets in football is that when The Toad rolls up at your club in an "advisory" role, the incumbent manager is promptly out on his arse within a short space of time. Arry, Jose and Hart can all back this up.

The Toad/Larry Grayson look-a-like must hover like a vulture outside the managers office with his furniture at the ready.

Did as well as could be expected with what he had available.

Is he the son of Johnny Hart who was our boss for a while in the 70's?

He is the son of Johnny Hart who was involved with city as a player between 1945-1961, then managed us for a short time in the 70s.
It's a knocking bet that Paul is well steeped in City and more than likely a Blue.

He is indeed John, I read in the paper recently (when we played term earlier on the season) that Paul grew up supporting City naturally because of his old man.

His assistant was Brian Kidd and I for one certainly wouldn't mind seeing Hart among our coaching staff. They both have a proven record at academy football.

He was always fighting a losing battle there. Hope he finds another good job in the game soon.

I'm just glad we're not playing Pompey right now cos they're going to step it up for the next couple of games.
