Didn't one of our players offer to pay for a fans petrol on the way back from a hiding somewhere a few years back? Anyone remember?

Alf Inge Haaland did the same thing after Charlton beat us 4 on our season opening prem return in 2000.
Although I think he only gave one lad his money back

I'd tell em to stick there money and go out and win their next 3 games, that would enough recompense for me as a football fan. You pay your money and you get what you get, it's just on this occasion they got a feckin hammering.
