I'd love him to have some kind of role at City. Proper City legend of my era.

- This year's news, space was at both mine and the club's expectations, and I take my share of responsibility, "said Vikings coach in this interview.

Rösler also told an assembled press this morning about a "very difficult situation around the club the last three months".

- But the players handled the situation well, and I concentrate on my job and with the players, the things I can influence, he said.

It'd be great wouldn't it? Probably be straight back into management before we know it though

Uwe had been in charge of Viking from Norway's oil capitol Stavanger for three years. In his first whole season they became third, but the last to seasons have been disappointing with mid-table finishes after having spent a lot of money. He once was quoted on two pages in the Norwgian equivalent to the Times/Telegraph, that his dream was to one day be the manager of City. One rumoured to follow him is another former City player - Åge Hareide.

Rösler himself has today said that the last two seasons have not been as good as expected and that his family had suffered from some of the reports in the media. He is married to a Norwegian woman he met under a summer tour to Norway when Horton was in charge.

This must be a 'Hughes In' thread, 'cos as much as I love Uwe for the little things that he did, I don't want him as the manager of our club!

Uwe had a year left of his contract. How amicable the break was I don't know. Former City player Åge Hareide has been confirmed as their knew manager. There were rumours about Asa Hartford coming as his assistant, they are still good mates from their days at City together. But the choice was a was a former Viking legend.
