But do you notice the way the CITY story is very clear that all this reporting originates from elsewhere / mischief makers / media and the SKY stoey is that Hughes is telling Robinho he is going nowhere.... just to be able put a negative spin on it

City tonight went on the offensive over rumours linking Robinho with a January move away from the club...to Barcelona or anywhere else.
The Brazilian forward is at the Emirates Palace training camp with the Blues squad as he recovers from an ankle problem that has kept him out of action since the end of August.
He will not be playing in Thursday night’s friendly against the UAE national side but could be back in first team action by the end of the month if all goes well.
Then Robinho will aid the Blues bid to maintain a place amongst the Premier League front runners.
“There are no plans to meet Barcelona here this week to talk about Robinho,” stressed CEO Garry Cook after the forward helped open the club’s new training facility in Abu Dhabi.
"I think some people are trying to make mischief when they talk about him leaving. I don't know where these things are coming from. They're not coming from us. We want to talk to him this week but only about getting him fit to play for us again.
We have had no conversations whatsoever with Barcelona with regards to the loan or transfer of Robinho. Any suggestion to the contrary is totally and utterly without foundation.
...Garry Cook blasts rumours
Those words were supplemented by manager Mark Hughes who has gone out of his way several times in recent weeks to re-iterate that Robinho is and will remain at the City of Manchester Stadium.
“We are concentrating on getting Robinho fit. We are looking to integrate him back into sessions. He will be checked by the Brazil national team doctors tomorrow and then we fully expect to have him released back to us," he said.
I am quite clear and Robinho should be quite clear that his future is very much with City.
...Mark Hughes emphasises the point
“There is no reason to think that will change any time soon. All those stories do not originate from anyone from City.
“Then he can come back with us and get back up to speed for when the rest of the group returns after the international break.
“He has been out for a significant amount of time so he needs training and game time as well so we will not be putting a date on when he might play. As soon as he is ready he will be a great option for us.”

Music to my ears this is........means I don't have to change my monicker in January, but joking aside, it also means that City will still have that World Class talent to give us that edge over the likes of Burnley, Birmingham, Fulham, Hull and Wigan.....as opposed to having to hope we can scrape a draw against them with the current set of players.
ALEFUCKINLUJA, he cannot come back quick enough for me or this club, we have missed him more than can be explained.

I reckon there must have been some pretty high proifle meetings take place recently with everyone being in Abu Dhabi. It looks as if all parties may have discussed and clarified Robi's position and Cook has obviously both Hughes and Cook have been told to finally put an end to the situation.

Coincidence or what that Hughes and Cooke have been extremely vocal to the media as regards Robinho staying whilst meeting our owners in Dubai.
Makes you wonder who it is that really wants Robinho to stay, If I were betting man I would say our benefactor might have had a quite word and give his opinion, after the last few weeks poor results and the lack of creativity in the side
I think this move would have gone through with our owners blessing had results been very good, now 5 draws on the bounce have fcuked it up for both Robby and Hughes.
I think Robby thought this move was nailed on, knowing that Hughes wanted rid.
Now he realises he might be forced to stay, hence his “I can’t take another day in Manchester” desperation quote.
Will be interesting watching developments over the next few weeks.

It will be quite interesting to see how this plays out.
For the record I 100% want us to keep hold of Robinho.
"player power" only has teeth when the club who own the player are faced with the prospect of losing their shirts on an asset. That is, if the player becomes disenfranchised and sulky and they don't play him/send him to train with the reserves his market value will ultimately go through the floor and the club will make a big loss on him.
Virtually every single club in the world to date has had to bow to this threat as, ultimately, they realise that they cannot hold onto them and "exercising their power" over the player has a significant financial cost.
In the case of Robinho though we can afford to keep him on full pay and send him home....back to Brazil if he wants. But he won't be allowed to play for anyone else....not until we say he can.
If he is playing silly buggers he might just get taught a nasty lesson......I'd love us to do so if there is truth in the stories (which I imagine there will be)

I think all this should be put to bed until he can actually play. Can't see Guadiola being a huge Robbie fan tbh so if he was agitating for a move he could be heading for another Spanish bench!
Whilst he's not playing he's in a pretty poor position anyway. Although we think he did well for us, and scored more goals than Torres etc, the wider jury is very much out on him. Would've been handy to have him the last few games though.
