No *ick, he didn't. Do you think it was Petrov's idea to play on the right? Do you not think that if the finger has to be pointed somewhere then maybe the hapless Jolene might be the most likely target? Or maybe even Tevez who greedily lunged at a cross intended for Adebayor (who was unmarked on the far post) and put it in the car park?

It is worse than that, may be worst ever. Petrov played fine in his 20 minutes, and out of position for most of them. It goes on Lescott mainly, Tevez a bit if you want to blame anyone.

No, but I would say a simple pass slid into Ade was all that was needed (you know, like Burnley did for their second goal) instead of blazing it wide as he did.

But there again if we pick out isolated incidents then it's easy to blame any player on the pitch and therefore the manager for selecting them.

No, was Hughes a Jerk putting him in instead of a midfielder like De Jong or Johnson!!!!

As for the OP - no, you cant blame Petrov in any shape or form. That tool shouldn't have made a sub at all, let alone change around Swp, Bellers and him. Dramatic changes to a team thats cruising. I'm all for making changes when they're NEEDED. You could say I'm a fan of 're-active' changes.

Therefore I can safetly say I preferred Hughes when he was a reactive manager.... I think.... Dazby?
