Just a simple question really.

Does any fan on this forum honestly believe we have a realistic chance of finishing 4th this season and if so why ?

Personally I don’t think we have a cat in hells chance, I don’t even think we are one of the top 6 teams in the Premiership.

Its not a Hughes out thread just an opinion of where I think we are at, I believe we will finish 7th or 8th this season, I think the top 8 will be as follows, I think Sunderland will have a decent season under Elephant man, and it could be us or them 7th or 8th.

Rags,
Arsenal,
Liverpool,
Tottenham,
Villa,
City,
Sunderland

I think our best chance of European football will be in the League cup, or hoping that one of the top 4 win the FA cup and we get the extra place.


That is my honest opinion.

Actually I reckon it will be Spurs who finish 4th. Just before Liverpool followed by us on 6th place

Yes we can still hit top 4, its a lottery this season and very open..Our faults will be rectified.We can do it.

I think some fans just don’t appreciate the situation, there’s being optimistic, and there’s being optimistic………………

You can count on one hand this season the times where we have remotely looked like a top 4 side, Arsenal home ,Rags first half, And Villa second half, that works out at roughly just over 180 minutes football, ,the rest has been pretty appalling.

We have drawn our last 5 matches against shite Premiership sides and because of that we are now at a turning point basically Hughes needs to start taking points from places like Anfield to stop the rot, I know Benitez is getting stick at the moment but he has more tan enough in his locker to out think Hughes.

I also actually think the Asenal kids Cup match could be the straw that breaks the camels back as regards Hughes.

Make no mistake the pressure is now on because of all the points we have dropped.

No chance.

We have the players to do so, just not the management team to organise and instruct them to do so.

If we had a Wenger, Taggart, Mourinho, Capello in charge of these players we would be top of the league now by about 6 points.

Under Hughes we will finish where we did last season and where his side has done every season he has managed in the Prem.....any place from 8th to 12th

correct. im starting to really get keen to your sensibility that we've got a fuclin clogger in charge. i just can't for the life of me understand what we're fuclin doing. it's painful to watch really. we played a few nice things today...SWPs disallowed goal was fun to watch, but jesus we're fucking dire with the lumping the ball upfield and losing possession, etc. And we're a team of midgets that we're lumping the ball too as well. Everytime Bellamy and Tevez go up for a header it's laffable.

Top 4 not a chance on current form. Not a chance unless we really shake some shit up soon. Can Hughes do that? i'm starting to really doubt it to be honest. I'm sad about that too because i think he's got the potential. this job, right now, was just one step too far i'm thinking. if the cunt wins a cup everyone will herald him as a genuis, but if we finish 6th or 7th he should still be fired. I'm sorry but that's just common sense. We have too much at stake here.
