Agree with that basic premise rural
But the simple fact is that I cannot believe that anyone on here thinks that what we have seen in the last few games is the best we can see from this playing staff and coaching staff. We've stuttered a little and the performances have, I fully admit, been pretty lamentable. However, I have full faith that we can play MILES better than we did even in the opening games, so I see absolutely no need for widespread panic when we draw a few games.
Adebayor being suspended and then injured has hurt us, Robinho we have missed, Ireland and SWP we have really missed and I fully agree with what CtK said on another thread....as much as the defence has looked a bit suspect at times I would say that much of this is down to the law of averages and the fact that we are not retaining possession nearly well enough at the moment and we are inviting a horrific amount of pressure onto our defensive unit, which in turn makes it look a bit creaky.
If we get any of the above players (or preferably all) back fit and in form and as a team we start stopping lumping poor balls up or across the pitch then I am wholly confident that playing pacey possession-football we can EASILY finish top 4
I am not against us all critically appraising performances that have not been good enough but what is irksome is the usual extreme kneejerking from certain posters (which is predictably tiresome but not unexpected) and just mindless brainless fucking tripe from other idiots.
Fair enough if some of you want to give up hope and start another boring period of agitation but I'd rather enjoy the ride.
