He can't.
Elano plays in a shit turkish league and hughes has managed so far to take us into fourth position with a game in hand in the toughest league in the world, without his record signing.
So.... you're definitely wrong on that one.
Anyway, where have ya been?

Elano can pull strings from the midfield and actually pass, instead of todays walk the ball in and lob it into the box. It was painful to watch.

Yeah we'll have off days.... hell, we'll even hit bad form now and again... doesn't mean we needed Elano. Given his record whilst he was at the club it is far more probable to assume he would have been a passenger today.
What we needed was everyone to do their jobs and loads didn't today. Including Mark Hughes. But we have players that will have far better days and a manager that will too.

Birmingham were quick to close us down and hit us hard when they did close us down. If Elano would have played it would have been one hollywood pass to a corner flag and then the rest of the game sulking because Barry Ferguson clipped him or something.
We needed some form of creativity though - don't think Elano would have provided it though.

fair dos mate; accept my apology. i've just got used to WUM threads on here when we find ourselves in appalling positions like we do today.
re elano: he would have done fuck all today. talented player? undoubtedly. up for a physical battle away at a promoted team? give me a break. name one instance where elano played well in such circumstances.
