That bloke on the right was a nice chap. Last time he had to help me and also actually seemed genuinely keen to help us unlike many other stewards on the day...

My uncle* is a rag (*by marriage to my auntie-we don't have rags as blood relatives). He was a steward at Maine Rd so it was ideal for him until he found he'd started to actually like City.
Works at the swamp now, so probably sees plenty of the game as most of his work will involve bits of translation, wiping the occasional mouth & adjusting people's blankets.

I was a steward at Maine Road for 4 seasons and it was the best job in the world. I was doing the segregation in the North Stand and getting £15 cash in hand for watching City...Great!
I knocked it on the head though when they brought in the idiots from Showsec to do the segregation and wanted to put me next to a fire exit within the North Stand!! Fuck that, i was off like a shot.

i did it at maine road for a few matches in about 93, but the crowd kept taking the mickey out of me. I was very slight in frame and small, just like SWP's little brother, so i'd turn up in my oversized uniform, and the crowd would ask what im doing there, and i'd say i was stewarding, and they would say "Where for, toy town". i could nt be bothered after a while.
