What do you think - were we set up for the win?

I thought we would go on to win. Unfortunately it didn't happen.

Hypothetical of course but I was thinking we could have gone on to pummel 'em 10 - 1. But, it wasn't to be..............long sigh

I don't think so...I thought Wigan played excellent and seem a completely changed side since the new Manager has taken over...they played well and will be annoyed at not taking 3 points themselves

It wasn't cast iron but I felt we had the upper hand so I voted yes.

I felt that we were starting to slowley over power them up to the sending off, so i've gone for yes.

We were improving, and think we would have finished stronger...so I voted 'yes'.

If Zabba had stayed on the pitch I think that Wiggers would have had a man sent of at 72´ and we would have scored the winner at 87´. A clean header from Vinnie.
CTID!!

we were playing well enough to snatch a win--petrov and swp were getting a lot of crosses in and were stretching the wigan defence.

Point to note: I actually thought Zabs was having a decent game and was looking at him for MotM. Just thought I'd mention it!

We may well have done so i've gone for yes. Wigan played well though and their workrate together with the trickery of N'Zogbia and Rodallega meant that we can look back on this as a good away point at a difficult place to go.

Put it this way Chelsea would have liked a point there

Same here. I thought we had the upper hand at the time, but Wigan were reading us well. I'm abstaining from the vote.

I voted yes but you should have given the 'perhaps' option!

With the likes of Ireland on the bench I feel without Zabba getting sent off we would have gone on to win.

No. When City scored I thought they'd take the game by the scruff of the neck and score another two or three, and maybe if Ireland had come on earlier that would still have happened. But Wigan bounced back from Petrov's goal and played good football When their manager was at Swansea last season he had them playing a nice passing game and he's doing the same for Wigan. They had as many cances as City and it could have ended 2-2 or 3-3 A draw was a fair result.

I was actually shocked at the way Wigan played. They are a completely different team from what we are used to, and the way Martinez has them playing can only bode well for them in the future. Let's face it, they are a team in transition also and if they can put 3 past the likes of Chelsea, they must have something going for them.

Upmost respect to them!

No. We never looked like winning this game.

We would have had a better chance of course.

With the players we had on and the fact that we had a bench full of talent to give Wigan a different look, i'd have backed us to win.

Who knows? No one, obv. Pointless poll.

I hope these people who think that Zabaleta is the answer to our RB problem have been woken up today.
