I will do a poll on this. But I want some nominations. Two people nominating gets them a berth. Apart from us who are the best football fans in England?

I went to watch Newcastle at the Reebok about six or seven years ago, their fans were excellent, especially since I had city on my coat.

Baggies fans deserted them in droves when they were shit and Reading fans only turned up in numbers during their promotion and Premier Leagues seasons. Shit fans. Loudest doesn't make the best imo.
For loyalty we are top of the tree but Leeds fans come a close second, the gates they are still getting are tremendous. Newcastle fans should get a mention as well for their deluded optimism and willingness to go to the match in mid February with nothing more than a football shirt on!!
All fans of League 1 & 2 clubs should get special praise as well, having to watch dire football and always knowing you will never get out of either division and the best you could hope for is a Wembley appaearance in a Johnsons Paint Trophy Final infront of about 25,000 fans, deserves some praise, i couldn't do it.

In London I have to say that the Hammers fans were the ones who you were most likely to have a decent chat about football with in the boozer, I don't mind the fans at Arsenal either.
Can't stand Chelsea and Spurs fans....I invariably dislike them all.
I actually like the atmosphere when you go away to Fulham.....
The Villa fans who come away are quite good support IMO
I'll go for West Ham and Villa

Newcastle fans are not that good. Their crowds in the 3rd tier a few years ago were rubbish.

Went to Madjeski few years back and it was library.
Been to Upton Park and it has to be said that West Ham supporters make great noise and they get whole crowd singing "Forever Blowing Bubbles" and quite a large percentage involved in other chants.
I've also been to home game against Newcastle few times and at least their away support is heavily overrated.

Roker Park was found noisiest ground in England many times. I seem to remember that the peak noise levels in Stadium of Light was highest in all England in recent study as well. Surprisingly CoMS was second to my recollection!

I'll give it to Scunthorpe for their fantastic support in the cup a few years back, which will probably be matched in a few weeks too

Can't believe Newcastle are being touted so much, they left in droves before KK took over the 1st time (avererage was about 12k that season.
Annoying as fuck but Portsmouth fans just don't stop for the whole match

Your suprised? 20k groans from the living dead in the 3rd Tiers can be deafening.
Oh and for the record when Eastlands rocks it is easily the loudest ground in the country,.

Burnley?
Don't they have more fans per head of population than anywhere in the country or something like that?
.......and I think their decent home record this season and their cup run last season was helped along by the 12th man.
