There are a lot of things wrong with Chuckle 1 and the way he behaves but that isn't one of them.

To pull him up for driving a green car at a time when the whole world is aiming to become greener is a little bit daft to say the least.
I actually find it quite refreshing that he's driving that and not some souped-up cock extension like every other footballer seems to need.

I agree its a bit low to call him for driving a green car.. I heard if you get the latest model you don't have to pay road tax as an incentive for people to buy these new greener cars. I actually think its a nice motor too. Just cause hes a twat don't mean its a shite motor.

Your right the fact he's a twat has nothing to do with it. If Jessica Alba was driving it, it would still be a shite motor.

This topic could just as easily be titled 'Pathetic Chuckle and His Ugly Ride'.

If he wanted to be really green, he could take the bus like Robinho.

Horrible car that. Honda and Fiat think green with a bit of style, at least.

I think the model looks quite good and the technology is great, just because Clarkson hates them doesn't make them a bad car. Most of the arguments against their green credentials are bullshit too.

The simple fact is that for us all still to have the choice of driving exciting and interesting cars in the future someone has to pioneer, Toyota have taken what was a niche market and managed to turn the Prius into a success story and bring green motoring issues into the general public domain.

It's hardly 'green' to fly parts from all over the world to assemble a car though?

Also, it runs on electricity right? Where does the electricity come from? Fossil fuels!

If that car is green then the driver deserves to have England caps!

The electricity it uses comes from when you hit the brakes in the car! The Prius isn't a plug in electric car, it's a hybrid which runs on normal petrol most of the time (the new model is a 1.8) but also can run on electricity that it generates as it drives along to aid with the efficiency. Whilst some of the smallest diesel cars can get similar MPG they also emit far more nasty crap out of their exhaust.

Also, every car made has parts "flown" (far more likely shipped to be honest as airfreight is bloody expensive) from all over the world. The point is though that all the others keep on guzzling fuel like its going out of fashion whereas the Prius is a stepping stone in the right direction.

Incidentally the argument against plug in electric cars isn't exactly valid either, firstly a lot of the electricity in the national grid isn't from fossil fuels, secondly the cars produce no emissions and the power production industry already has tighter controls on emissions than road cars are governed by. Lastly, as more laws are passed and cleaner electricity production methods are adopted over the years electric cars will continue to get more and more green (the greener the grid, the greener the car) something that most definitely cannot be said for any petrol engined road cars which typically get less and less efficient as time passes and wear and tear kicks in.

Mate, if that were Robinho or Bellamy behind the wheel everyone would be wanking and saying how great they were for setting an example. My blue tinted glasses only stretch so far. Neville is a complete cunt (that is beyond question) but to ridicule him for driving a Prius is just a little bit childish IMO. There are plenty of things to take the piss out of him for and I don't think that this is one of them.

I'd sooner take the piss out of this http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/05/ ... 68x302.jpg but I guess that's just personal opinion. I saw it driving through town the other day and was thinking, wtf? It's a fuckin spaceship.
