What are your conclusions after the match?

Mine:

1. Zabaleta is a better Right Back than Richards
2. Bridge has finally arrived
3. Even without Adebayor we are dangerous as hell
4. Can't decide who to drop for Adebayor in the next game but based on today's performance II think it would be SWP for me.
5. Tevez was worth every single penny we paid for him

I'll say Petrov, myself. He was everywhere and obviously is trying hard for his minutes.

Got to give a nod in Bridges direction, minus that penalty; god damn was he tough.

BTW, What the _______ happened to Lescott. He looked like a rag doll out there.

God damn, Franny Lee must have been happy today. Good times. Good times.

Commentator said it's the best he's seen us since 1978. Hmmm. I was two at the time;

and they, the times, are a changing!!

Zabaleta was facing Jimenez, not Giggs.
Bridge has been a phenomenon this season, not just tonight.
Yes, but we lacked a centreforward tonight and it was noticeable
Bellamy--Adebayor--Tevez, one performance will not keep Petrov in the side
Who knows what we paid for him, but yes he is.

By the way, does anyone know why we are still behind Tottenham in league despite having the same amount of points and the same goal difference, whilst still having a game in hand?

I think if anybody should be dropped it would be SWP too I love the lad and he's one of my fave players but right now Tevez is a better player for that position..

Re number 1 - you surely did not need tonights match to know that?

Re number 4 - I think you have called that one right - Bellemy and Tevez will play in that position - but both will play

Re number 5 - Fergie fergie - sign him up was sent to a lot of scum fans - followed by - he can score the goals in a good team that can set them up!!

Like a few who have already posted, the feeling that maybe we aren't going to somehow fuck it up takes a bit of getting used to. Wasn't happy that they got the equaliser but we got on with it when we may have crumbled in the past. The passing was nice and crisp for much of the game, and plenty of tracking back too. It's also nice that when we get a set piece now there's actually a decent chance of getting something out of it. Great to see RSC and Johnson coming on, gives us even more options. Solid performance all round. Onwards and upwards. Only outside the top four on goals scored, and a game in hand on them all - get that Everton game rescheduled NOW!

Just back from watching the game with the City's Norwgian supporte's club in Oslo. Too many positives to mention from the game. But I'm looking more and more forward to this season.

Just for the sake of order: The City's Norwegian supperters club watch the games in in central Oslo in a pub called Bohemen, the bohemian in english. If you happend to be there you will propably met our charman and a few mancunians as well as us Norwgians.

i wouldn't drop SWP. i think that's a huge mistake. He's doing it at both ends like a fuclin little rocketship...he needs to stay. Petrov will have to go...easy decision really despite today. SWP is doing 10x the defensive effort that anyone else in his place would do, don't you think?

Great game last night. We really hammered them (I'll get my coat). I never felt really worried, even though we were lucky that their second goal was (wrongly so) disallowed.

Bellamy is awesome, but it was great to see Tevez set the world on fire as well.

We are about 1100 members in the Norwegian supporters club. I have been a member since 1981. It is the oldest of the Scandinavian supporters clubs for British teams and dates back to 1974. The official supporters club has a 60 year celebration this year in November and there are a few us coming over from Norway.

Could the mods please merge all the West Ham threads?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
