Hull are very bad. Without wanting to sound unkind about Geo, when you're most exciting player is a bit part player from a mid table club (which we were at the time) then you are in trouble. The rot set in there a very long time ago and it's difficult to see a way out of it for them.
Pompey, whilst being stone last, did show something yesterday v Scouse 2. The poor start will again be tough to recover from though. Havng said that though, they haven't got anyone that you would even want on our bench. (with the possible exception of James)
I think I tipped these two to finish bottom three along with Brum.

Pompey were the better team in an attacking sense v Everton, by a fair bit imo. The defence was half hearted though, especially that ex Spuds failure at CB who's so bad he makes TBH look like Colin Todd. We've seen in the past how shit individuals in the middle of average defences get you relegated, which brings me to Hull; any 3rd division defence would perform at least as well as theirs did v Scousers. The fans at Anfield paid money to watch Liverpool where as Hull's defence got paid big wages to do exactly the same thing.

As Big Jack Charlton would say: "Criminal defending!"

I saw the match yesterday and I thought Portsmouth were the better side. Their strikers are bobbins though.

You need goals to stay up. When you look at Portsmouth's front men you've got Dindane, the type of player who should be playing exhibition football - all stepovers and fancy flicks but no threat to the goal, and Tommy Smith, who works hard but is a Championship footballer through and through. That's what comes of selling all your strikers to Spurs.

Anyone remember how Hull managed to start last season so well? Same names on the teamsheet but nothing on the pitch at all.
