The Fat Linesman

So, was this guy:

A) Incompetent in the extreme?
B) Corrupt?

Beats me how anyone can give a player offside who not only had at least 2 defenders between him and the goal but wasn't even in the opposition half of the field when the ball was played - by 2 or 3 yards.

I suggest he finds another part time job.

The answer lies in your title, he was too fat to keep up with play so was just guessing on our lightning counter attacks.

On the Robinho incident, he flagged for Adebayor who was slightly offside, he didn't realise the pass was going no where near him.

Poor linesman who clearly should not be running the line of a premiership team in that physical condition.

Incompentancy of the highest order. Robinho was in his own half, Ade a little debateable but the ball was no where near him.

Trouble is, I can see this happening a lot in the future given our style of play. All a bit worrying really.

You can make a mistake like that ONCE, in a game like this, and get away with it, but it was at least two offsides that he got wrong by about 3 yards and what really made me go through the roof was when he flagged Tevez for a shirt-tug on a Palace player when he (CT) had the ball in a good position. No-one would have given that in the prem. This game was clearly out of his league, or he was making his own statement against the club that's "ruining football"

i think premier league officiating is dire. but, when you get into the lower league officals like last night, it's like the bush league, so yeah, clearly out of his league in every way. he will not get to line against teams with city's pace because no team can touch us for speed; we are like lightning.

Said that myself last night, it was the reason he got 3 big decisions wrong in the first half.

I thought all 3 made errors. Robinho and Bridge off sides 1st half. Ireland off side 2nd half and I thought Palace had a fair shout for a penalty when Richards dragged their player over on the goal line, again missed by all 3.

Did you see the full Sky post-match interview with Warnock? He was saying the same things as us about him but from Palace's point of view (all his comments were about the second half, when that fat turd would have been the linesman for their attacking moves) So the answer is clearly A.
