I brought this up a while ago on here. Just checked, and no British-born player has ever lasted 3 full seasons in Turkey. Zaha (British citizen, but Ivorian born) is starting his third season now, but spent last season on loan, and will spend this season out on loan, too. Lots of 'contract terminated by mutual consent' seems to go on there, with Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend all 'agreeing' to this in recent months. Dzeko seems to be one of very, very few foreign players transferring from major leagues to have seen out the entirety of his contract (two years).

Not 100%, but I think Colin Kazim-Richards did. 3 or 4.

With Stones & Ake both notorious sick notes......and Father Ruben still to find his best form again. Can see problems ahead.

As has been mentioned already, with it being a WC year, watch these niggling injuries start to lessen. There's 5 cbs there and whilst I'd prefer to keep a settled cb paring, we do have cover. Khus is a beast and rapid, so I'd hope for him to get more game time which frees up another to rest. No accounting for injuries as we saw last season but I'm good with those

I stand corrected - Lasted 3.5 seasons before having his contract terminated by Fenerbahce, then spent a few more seasons at clubs there (being loaned out abroad for a fair bit of the time).
