Who gets promoted to replace him? Nacho? Very different kind of striker. We really have no one like Jayko to backfill unless we go out and buy. Is this Turkish kid a young Jayko type?

If we're only playing one striker three might be enough. Sterling can play up front too. I just think once Bony came Dzeko was never going to be happy at number 3 in the pecking order. Jovetic likely to go to Inter of course although there's talk they can't make up their minds between he and Salah. We've bought that young French striker. Don't know whether they're thinking of him as first team squad material.

I'm hoping we play with one 'striker' more often - obviously Kun in the first name on the team sheet provided he stays fit, but we could use him behind Wilf in the way Pellegrini seemed to be experimenting with this season just gone (Nacho could play behind him too). It might blunt Kun's scoring a bit though, or maybe not.

Now that Stroud Life all but confirmed the signing of Pogba, I'd like to see something like this:

Image

+ best way to incorporate our 11 best players imo
+ Yaya where he is best: with the game in front of him passing the ball around, but with two runners who can cover his arse
- Silva shifted wide, which is not ideal
- only Fernando & Nasri to rotate into centre mid & they bring an entirely different dynamic; Delph could've been a nice addition

I think a bid for Daniel Sturridge would just about see Scousers jumping of the Liver building.

Jayko is at least an English cock taller than Bony. So as a guess I'd say heading the ball into goal is something Jayko is way better at based on what I've seen. I think Jayko won't hold the ball up nearly as well as Muscle Man but still they are different players who command different space. Surely I'm not the only cunt who sees that?

From the relatively little of what we've seen of Bony in a City shirt, I'm hoping his first touch is going to be both better and more consistent than Dzeko's, at the very least.

He could also have better shooting boots and be faster and more mobile than Dzeko.

Based on what I've seen there's very little to separate them in terms of heading. What Bony lacks in height he makes up for in desire.

They are different players but I can't see anything really in regards to how we set up where I'd prefer Dzekchair over Bony.

I hope we give him the proper respect. He's been an absolute shithouse at times and a lucky charm doing he damage required to win stuff at other times. I wish him nothing but continued spasticity and success.

He will smash Italia.

The most technically poor lethal finisher the league has seen. I'm not sad to see him go but absolutely not discounting how big his goals were for us at times.

The guy stepped up and won't be forgotten because he did.

Good luck to him if he is on his way. He'll grab goals for fun in the Serie A!

Dzeko tends to drift into the channels to find/create space and is surprisingly creative - I think he is a more intelligent player based on the limited amount of game time I've seen from Wilf - Bony is excellent with his back to goal holding the ball up and is more physical neither of which Dzeko can do too well,

For his height Bony's very good in the air. Let's face it Dzeko had a very poor season and wouldn't have been happy on the bench. Good luck to him assuming he's going.
