Walker isn’t great in forward situations. His final ball is often poor. There again I didn’t think he’d play that far forward anyway. As a stopper Akanji is superior. Anyway it is what is. I doubt that decision will cost us the game and Ake is a definite plus on the left which shouldn’t be left out of account.

I've calmed down a bit and assumed it's for the height that dzeko brings. Dzeko arriving at the far post for a header is always going to beat walker. If dzeko is replaced with Lukaku, I'd expect we'll see walker.
