It will be Spafia out all day and all night from the Lickers.

Which lickers are they Mate?

if you have to ask you are probably one. :)

let's just say that we'll get a "how we fucked things up with the spanish geezers" post from Antti. Meanwhile we've probably already bettered the team with just our two signings than we did last summer.

We definitely have improved the team immensely with just navas and fernandinho. We probably would have won the league with those 2 in last year ...not being sarcastic.

I blame Hughes

We've strengthened a weakness and allowed another to get worse. Not sure were stronger overall until a 3rd striker is signed.

It seems we are in 'intense talks' for Jovetic, Negredo and possibly Ibrahimovic. I doubt we'll sign all 3 so at least one of them is being negotiated with, only for us to drop them at the last minute.

Question is who is our top priority if we only want one?

Negredo purely for goals, Jovetic to give us a little more guile in the forward line. Ibrahimovic, I think, is a load of bollocks given the salary, good as he still is.

Who knows, apparently Jovetic and Negrado are going to cost less than Balotelli's wage, Tevez's can go directly to Ibra.....and we're done....except the centrehalf, which we still need but seem to be ignoring.

Apparently Pepe is still a real goer.

I wouldn't be too upset with Pepe, known quantity and all that, if he can keep the voices in his head quiet he's a good defender.

If the Ibrahimovic rumours are true, then it could make sense that we're in for 2 of the 3 as i see Jovetic and Negrado as different styles and positions (from what I've read) - i also suspect, from the Counts comment of a signing in the next 24 hours, that one of them is pretty much sewn up but keeping it on the QT while still in negotiations with the other parties. The Negrado deal may be the one stuttering and hence the Ibrahimovic interest?

I think the Jovetic signing is instead of Isco as they both play similar roles. Therefore we still need a striker. Ibra has won the league in every country he has played in so you cannot discount his influence but I can't see us paying the wages especially after all the effort to get the wage bill down.

I have never massively rated him but I could see him doing a job for us. Can't see it happening tho.

Also is he not some kind of Bosnian Spastic who grew up in Sweden?? Another downside I guess ;-)

I think it was probably in the question mate, '...how they doing so far?'.

How are isco and cavani doing so far? Or how are the spaniards doing so far?

Because if you're talking about the spaniards you only mentioned they signed and unknown and missed out on two targets. You never mentioned they signed a Spanish international and are in talks with jovetic and negredo. You also never mentioned they had yaya toure and sergio aguero both sign contract extensions.

It's just that if you are asking the question, it seems to be agenda ridden.

Fucking hell man, take that tin-foil hat off will you. This place is for debate and I asked a question that pertained to the thread.

Txiki was brought in to do the deals yet we lost out on 2 of our main targets, that's why we are after the 2 you mention; plan B if you may.

What's wierd is your over the top reaction, as if to defend rather than debate. Extreme.

I find myself wondering what exactly Mutt and Jeff have achieved at MCFC to deserve such slavish devotion from various quarters.
