I'll take 1 nil at half time after that. Lucky pen and maybe lucky Howard moved so early. Just need to sort a few things out in the 2nd to scramble the win.

You and me baby, we know the rules of this game.

Lucky pen my ass.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Was it fuck generous. Only slightly debatable part was that Joleon was over one of their defenders like a bitch on heat before fellatio yanked Edin down

We always knew this would be a tough game but we were very sloppy for the first half hour. After they scored we perked up and are now back in the game following the penalty.

Yaya is useless again. His passing is just so wayward - we really need him to step it up. I'd give Dzeko another 5 mins and if he shows no sign of improvement I'd replace him with Aguero or Balotelli. Their movement would be a lot better and they at least have a decent first touch.

We're missing Milner's energy and movement in midfield, both defending and attacking. Really hope he's back for the derby.

All in all, we're under performing vs. what we're capable of, but we're very much in the game and if we step it up in the second half (as we usually do) then there's no reason we can't win this game.

Practically every attempted clearance from us fell stright to Everton, it was very frustrating. This Romanian channel showed a stat for shots on target towards the end of the half which was a bit flattering to everton (something like 5-4 at the time to us) seeing as three of them came from Fellaini's goal. Pretty much taking the lead against the run of play.

Gave Everton too much space to whip their crosses in. Not a good idea when we know how dangerous Fellaicio and Jelawank are in the air.
Dzeko is not one to start games (even though he won us the pen). Yaya is not playing his best football. Credits to Maicon and Tevez

Spot on. 2nd ball was worrying, it fell everytime to an Everton player. We must be quicker to the ball.

Well, that was different. Everton have played with their usual energy and we've played with our usual.....errrr.....lethargy. They do look good though and we always know what we're going to get. The problem I see is that at times we are trying to play at their pace causing us to force the play and lose the ball. As soon as we do, they're away.

Those long-balls, is that a new tactic because it sure doesn't work. What was most odd was that the majority were aimed at Carlos rather than Dzeko so each time it was just a pass to their keeper.

Their goal, not the greatest defending to be honest. It looked like Vinnie panicked and he just headed it anywhere. Unfortunately it fell to Baines who we've seen time and time again throw in a perfect cross. Joe did well with the first header but no chance of the 2nd.

Our goal was what could be described as fortunate but in reality it should always be called. Dragging down an opponent is basically taking him out of the game. Anywhere else on the pitch it's a freekick so why not a penalty? Carlos though, great take after he seen Howard move. Howard also had a couple of decent saves so at least we know we're getting there.

Second half we need to keep the ball better and not rush the play. I don't think Everton will be able to keep this pace up for the full 90 so we need to ensure we keep wearing them down. I'd keep the same set-up (3 at the back, is it?) and bring Mario on for the last 20 if required.

First of all, credit when it's due: Carl was bloody right! a monumental personal mistake let us down.

I am sure the thread would probably not reflet my opinoin but I think that we where tactically very well, despite all their rush. just waiting to place the right nail on.
Negatives:
Atm our going forward is clearly poor in accuracy and sometimes also in ideas.
Today's line up was the most attacking as possible, for Dzeko purposes at least: 2 very attaching FBs very capable at good crossing, and the three most attacking playmakers, in Tevez, Silva and Nasri, behind the CF.
I've been patronizing the potential of Edin, for long, well before his purchase. I genuinely thought he could have become a close thing to vanBasten in Bob's hand. Today it's the most blatant evidence that i was wrong, there. No more than one of the many big lumps of the Premier. Since receiveing the penalty foul, his only contribution has been, few rapist touches, preventing Nasri from scoring and a BIG evidence of his poor intelligence of the game by that offload on Barry, who could have been nothing bar offside!
For long part of the half I FELT for poor carlos, preaching in the desert. As many and good runs in and cuts inside as Mario did at DWS, receiving the very same attention from fellow forwarders.

Once said that, They have spent quite a lot, level on score, we looks focused if not brilliant and I am very much confident on the second half rule. WE are gonna win!

Additionally, I think it's worth mentioning that Beefy might have proved long sighting when he noted that perhaps the wind has turned. Certainly little complains, so far, and even some sort of respect for the Champions, imho!
