I would have Dzeko and Lavezzi from Napoli. Closest player i have seen to Tevez's style of play. We aint gonna get him though so il go with Torres and Dzeko.

Carrol is another half season wonder and does not project for me as world class goalscorer in long term.

Aguero would be direct replacement for Tevez and probably available. Pair him with Dzeko and I reckon we'll be laughing in the end.

But all munes are, right?

they are a nation?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

They say that they're an institution....who wants to be institutionalised?

I wish they were a nation, then we could invade and cleanse the World of them.

Llorente from Athletic Bilbao has a release clause of 39mEuros apparantly. Scores with feet and head, a big lad, could be a good step up for him.

Generally, let's get people who are hungry, determined and can play a bit.

I dont like Aguero. Watched him a few times and he has never really done a lot. Although i thought the same about Silva and he is quality.

Spain threw him on as a sub a couple of times during the WC. He was the only one over 5 feet.

I agree, I am not a massive fan but I do see the potential - with the right partner he could definitly become a very, very good player though

Sort of refined Spanish version of Andy Carroll. Great in the air, strong, very nice footballer & can play amongst the Spanish style passing game. Not particularly prolific scorer in the past but seems to be getting better & better & is knocking them in for fun this season whuich means they wouldn't want to let him go. At this moment in time, he's a better player than Torres & imo better than Dzeko. Looks made for the English game.

If you watch a lot of Spanish football, Ted, perhaps you'll appreciate my comparison of Llorente to a young(ish) Fernando Morientes. Certainly reminds me of him. Morientes has a poor reputation over here after his time at Liverpool, but he was quality pre-2005.

There's some fella called Bryan Ruiz who is banging in the goals for FC Twente. Might be worth a punt until we can get a big name in the summer.

Dzeko would be a great signing also.

I tend to watch mainly Barca & Real + highlights but I've seen a reasonable amount of Llorente & I can see what you mean. Morientes was a great player.

LLorente.
