Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

@StuBrennanMEN: Ivory Coast manager: "Yaya Toure is in a period of reflection about his international future. I hope he will continue."
Think this is something Yaya has needed to do for a while now, fingers crossed he calls it a day but even him realising he will benefit from limited international involvement is great news.
That's great news. When he was being slated all off season I constantly said wait and see how he looks after a rest. Many were screaming sell now give him away etc. I think we're seeing so far that common sense has prevailed and glad he's seeing the difference as well.
Tracking back is overrated.

Great interview with weo in the pre match buiildup from bt
Interesting to hear some of the things he says about his kids having manchester accents and wanting his kids to grow up in Manchester.
Unfortunately blotted his copybook by choosing wooney in his top 5 tho

Nobody winds me up quite like yaya. Sometimes I hate him, sometimes I really fucking hate him. But the man is a certified legend and if he goes this summer, his contribution to our journey should never be forgotten.
I say otherwise when he winds me up, but I genuinely love the big man.

Me too, and he was fantastic today.
He does bring it to the fore when it matters.

not only did he pick up his performance for this game, he also picked up Lallana. Awesome 90 minutes from the giant, got tired towards the end of extra time but that's not his fault.

Fucking man handled llama like he was a child. When he stepped up to take the kick you just knew he would score. Clutch player in the extreme. Legend.

I really hate how much I love this cunt.
I was, we all were, let down by him many times. But every time, every single time when we really and I mean, REALLY needed him, not on a trip at fucking Sunderland or Norwich, the cunt really stepped up.
Huge player, a legend, really a legendary persona.
Can I add something and not sound like some idiot? Somewhere in my heart, I really hope he read the "You used to be Yaya Toure" article and his ego said: I am not done yet.
Take your fucking hat off, you beauty!

Did any see when Yaya scored the winner and went running off the whole team ran past him and straight to Willy (which is what Yaya should have done, fucking self important twit) when he realised no one was following him did he run over to Vinny with the Liverpool players to make out like he was always going to do that?

He plays so much better with the two Ferns and Vinny back. He was off on those surging runs again and can see and pick a pass better than anyone. He was running on empty at the end but he was hardly the only one. I hope he's got his puff back for Wednesday. We have to win.
