Absolutely spot on, and perhaps more so the fans who travelled to Forrest, a game BFS and the board simply couldn't be arsed with.

Nasri out for 8 weeks. Another triumph for Pardew who was making gestures suggesting he was overreacting when he was hacked down.

The Mangala possible deal ties in with Lescott being allowed to leave, though quite why Joleon would join West Ham when he can sit tight and pick his club in the summer hasn't been explained.

Maybe he's being offered more than he's likely to get elsewhere? Their club and fans aren't unattractive... Quite the opposite once they jettison BFS. London isn't exactly shit either no matter how much some of you need to believe that.

He is not going to get into the England squad sat on our bench, I would imagine he has enough money, the only down side would be he has not played enough games to get a winners medal if we win the league.

City have already prepared a 5-year contract for Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala according to L'Equipe, but Porto want a staggering £41m.

with healthy options to choose from, cant see Lescott making the English squad regardless of who is he playing for

Maybe not but if he stays till summer there's a very good chance he'll pick up a few medals - maybe even be part of a history making team - surely that's better than the off chance of going to Brazil

Id agree. Plus he gets to pick his own club as a free agent.

He isnt going to make the Eng squad, especially as Hodgson is mistakenly fixated on Jones and Smalling. He also has Jagielka and Cahill ahead of him too.

Im biased because I rate Joleon as a stopper so want him to stay.

this is more about one more decent contract than it is about Brasil imho.

Also, barring actually playing in a final, should we make it to one (!), doesn't he have to play a lot more matches to get a league winner's medal should we be lucky enough to pull that off? Unlikely, esp. if we buy another CB.

Sad day. Some of the players will be so ****ed off by this. Shaw's Dad inviting offers already...downhill from here.

Wording of the statement is obviously bull****.

Just lost the driving force of the club.
Not off twitter but related to my last post in the cage looks like things are going tits up at Southampton.
