The kicker will be Mr David Kogan, I have a feeling he’s going to come for us. 12 months in a role he secured only him and Lisa Nandy know how, so dodgy it lead to her being accused of all manner of shenanigans. So bad Starmer yes him on the record denounced the appointment. He’s doing the rounds say a lot and saying nothing. He’s the back up!!!

Stefan Borson is a self proclaimed football finance expert who goes on talksport and says nothing of substance ever. All hearsay and conjecture (and he flips his viewpoint from week to week). No doubting he's a City fan and also has worked in the industry in the past but on this he's just saying what he needs to say to keep getting asked back

He is more than you see on Talkshite. I will wager his assessment will be true. I don’t like it. His professional opinion
Is consistent. Hopefully not the outcome he thinks!!

Its definitely not consistent and he's been called out about it on BM a lot (he posts on there)

I thought he was very knowledgeable and unbiased during the UEFA/CAS case and got most things spot on. Haven't really listened to him now. Back then he was only on 93:20 podcast. I don't listen to Talk sport and try to stay away from media discussions about 114.

You do know he was laughing about it,, or you saw it on Facebook or somewhere else

Yea but even so what be said will likely be turned into the written word and quoted out of context. He was the club captain. He should do exactly as Vinnie did and not talk about it.

Walker was laughing and joking about it, wasn't serious at all. The actual conversation was very different to the click bait headlines etc.

He's a proper thicket but he didn't do or say anything wrong in this case I don't think.

He said something to feed the media narrative and spin. He said something wrong.

In fairness he's not the sharpest tool in the box, so anything he says that they can twist, they will. Anyone who doesn't say anything they can twist doesn't get reported on.

Rodri is a perfect example for any former players looking at what to say when asked.

Something I noticed last week, that might have slipped under the radar with all the attention upon us.

First, Jeff Bezos buys a stake in Liverpool that values the club at just under £5 billion. 16 years ago the club was bought for something like £300 million.

Second, Todd Boehly sells his stake that values Chelsea at £5 billion. In 2022 when the club was bought from Abramovic, it was valued at around £2 billion. And I thought, what on Earth have Chelsea done in the last 4 years to more than double in value?

But then, the sort of people who are spending this sort of money don’t do it because of what was donev in the past (although having a “brand” helps). Nor does the success or otherwise of the present moment count for as much as you might think. What’s important are the future prospects for growth.

So where is this growth going to come from?

Obviously, if we can get pushed aside it would be easier for the tetrarchy to re-assert itself and normal service can resume, with the same four teams getting the Champions League money year after year. But, is that enough?

So will a European Super League be tempting?

My view is that the biggest threat to the Premier League, isn’t us, but the top four joining the other “legacy clubs” to form such a league and taking the bulk of the TV money with them.

This would be a disaster for the likes of Brighton and Brentford. In fact very few clubs would emerge unscathed. (Perhaps newly promoted sides would be ok, they don’t get much TV money anyway)

The net effect is that the “legacy clubs” have to appeased, or else they’re off. There’s no need for a paper trail or secret recordings of meetings, everyone knows the score.
