I joined the forum in 2008 (I could barely work a computer before that; in fact, when Royle was in charge, my family couldn't afford one), but first got my season ticket in 1993. Join dates of this forum mean nothing in and of themselves.

That said, if the guy's one of those who's constantly moaning about how bad things are at City these days - and I've got no idea whether he is or not - then he deserves to get some shit. We're living the dream as far as I'm concerned.

Join dates for a forum means nothing when that same person is judging the forum?

I was regularly browsing the forum just under a decade ago - occasionally browsing for almost a year before that.

Started reading the forum in the keegan era, only posted later on.

Joined dates don't define the level and overall length of your support, just the day you decided to get vocal with it.

hahahaha, Both comments above this belong in the bollox.

You browsed the forum without registering for four years in one case, maybe 3 or more in another.

WE AREN'T THAT FUCKING INTERESTING!

But no, we'll take your word for it, because it's obviously important to you bullshit your way to a point in this conversation.

Well done.

I thought the fact that he joined this website after September 2008 caused you to infer that he started supporting City after the takeover, and I was just pointing out that I thought that was very iffy logic.

It's clear to me now that this wasn't your main gripe, and that you were on about the state of play on here rather than football-wise.

What a pointless thread this is, the original topic has completely gone down the toilet.

Come on mods, lock this one down.

Yeah I've seen stuff saying that City lead the chase but Jovetic wants to talk to both Manchester clubs before he decides or something

Yes. I didn't have a personal internet connection until 2005 (actually, very, very late 2004, some time on or between 16th and 18th December), and started reading the site about 2 years before that (in the 2001-02 academic year, I think, 2 or 3 years before it changed from mancity.net), while in college, my dad's office, and doing voluntary work, then after that in the university computer labs, with increasing regularity. I remember checking the site while on my holidays in summer 2003, which I'd say would make me an (at least) semi-regular browser. Not all of us can afford to live in a house with plush-as-fuck curtains. As I've said before on here, I tried to register in mid-2006, as Blue_Me (if you're so suspicious, you can get the mods to check), but the registration process never went through. I then lost interest in registering until I moved abroad, as I could regularly talk about football in the pub.

My father, with about 10 posts on here (last one I recall was about being at the Ballet on Ice), has been browsing since it was the international fans' messageboard, or some kind of offshoot of that. He introduced me to the site.

And no, you aren't "that fucking interesting". Some other posters are, though.

I'm disappointed we haven't signed Jovetic yet, it would liven this thread up a bit
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

His 'people' are said to be meeting with the scum from Stretford on Monday. No idea if there's any truth in it but has added a little anxiety to the weekend for me....

Are you referring to txiki and ferran?
If so, I wouldn't call the Cavani situation "missed out on"...the price was overly inflated so we backed out. Isco, on the other hand, we missed out on.
