Did Lawro just say 'It'd be nice to see Isco for a bit' then say about our 50% tax?

it was sweet wasn't it.

Cavani without service will be just as useless as Dzeko which would be an interesting wake up call to most City fans...

However, if Tevez leaves we should do anything we can to get Suarez....

Uruguay ought to have done better.

Related, i'm so gutted we sold Balo. It will hurt for a long time. I love the dude. He's a once in a generation player. And he should be ours. Fucking Mancini fucked it up more than almost anything else he did wrong. Makes me sad.

How the fuck did Bayern pay 37 mil for Martinez ?

He's given the ball away, overhit more passes & missed more interceptions in 5 mins than the whole fucking Spain team in 85.

The most overrated player I've ever seen. He should be playing for the rags (& England).

Thank Christ we didn't sign him.

I can't say i've watched much of Bayern's domestic season, but from all the articles i've read from well respected foreign football columnists they've said Javi Martinez has taken Bayern's midfield to another level...

I know what you mean about Mario & I agree about Bob's part in it, but I don't see him as a Premier League player. He just does his own thing & it's more suited to continental or international football.

Suarez can fuck off and die.

Indeed they do. And Tom Cleverly is England's future.

I think his role at Bayern is a great big post in the middle of the pitch which frees up Schweinfucker to do other stuff, & that's what has made the difference. they don't even pass the ball to Martinez most of the time, just ignore him & occasionally hit one over the top when he runs forward twice per game.

you may be right about Balo, but i still heart the fucler.

Suarez can fuck off and die in cambidge blue for all i care if he hits free kicks like that and score goals. I could handle my angst with him if he did the business, i promise you could too.

Cavani did not show a thing in 90 min. I know he s good but 55 mill good i don't know. Spain is great again but is really boring when they lead to watch them an anything is free kick and acting i was bit angry. U are World and Euro Champions act like it not like pussy droping like dead any challenge.

Instead we went for Javi Garcia who isn't any better. Now I'm not fan of Martinez at all but at least he has treble to show for in his first season with Bayern. What does Garcia has to show for apart from couple of decent headers from set pieces?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Cavani had a poor Olympics last year but then went back to Napoli and had an incredible season. It's harder for strikers to shine for their national teams, especially when they're used to playing for a team tailored to their abilities on a weekly basis.

Mexico v Italy was a good game. Open attacking football, definitely enjoyed that game.

Spain, apart from the diving, was impressive. How they kept the ball flowing, all those first touch passes, turns and the way they controlled the game, b-e-a utiful!
The diving does put an ugly stamp on their game though. The amount of times an arm brushed their head, for them to go down like a ragdoll was insulting.
Fabregas was very impressive playing behind Soldado and with Soldado up front, Spain looked more dangerous than before.

The diving was a disgrace but the worst thing was Arbeloa he should have been sent off for his over the top challenge on Lodiero late on.

Correct, and at the risk of getting shouted down I would suggest that Dzeko is well capable of doing what everyone rates Cavani for.

The biggest difference between Cavani & Dzeko in club football is that Cavani is quicker & works harder. The ball still bounces off him at times, as it does with Dzeko & Balotelli, & he misses some easy chances, but he grafts, at times almost like Tevez.

In a side full of flair players (& 'ball playing' CBs who can't defend), Cavani could make quite a difference.

The alternative is that Pellegrini persuades Dzeko to pull his fucking finger out. If Dzeko puts the work in, there is very little to choose between them imo.
