There's no need for them to take this stance. I don't see what gains they get from it.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Evidently a two footed lunge/stomp is a lot less dangerous than a controlled tackle. Kompany has been send off twice for a tackle where he cleanly won the ball, but a jump, followed by a two footed stomp is less dangerous and not deemed to be banned in comparison to Kompany's legit tackle.

Well done, FA. Good to see you're still as retarded as you've always been.

The same as when Ben Thatcher assaulted the Portsmouth player and got a yellow for it, but they still screwed us over afterwards and banned him even though the ref saw it and dealt with it at the time.

Or when Shauny got banned, even though the ref was looking in that direction, running directly towards the ball at the time, or when Mario got banned for stamping Parker, or when Ade got banned for odd leg movement that van Pussy should've been dismissed for.

Essentially it means, FUCK YOU CITY.

Well remembered mate, and that's some precedent to ignore.

I'm half astounded and half unsurprised by this. In that it's truly shocking at first, then I just think "ah but this is the FA we're talking about'.

This sort of shite has been bothering me for a while and I think it's no coincidence that it started getting very blatent the moment Bernstein got appointed (he didn't even look genuinely pleased at the cup final ffs) ... is he trying too hard to not appear to be a fan of us anymore?

sadly, if Javi G had been injured this would be all very different. Fortunately for us he's a swashbuckler of the highest order and it made the incident seem less incendiary. Also, if he were a pussy and had rolled around a while maybe that would have helped. I'm just glad he wasn't injured since it was defo the kind of malice that could have put him out of the game for 6 months or more if he comes down differently on his ankle or leg.

Agree about this being about pride for Webb....altho if he's seen that tackle on video i have no idea how he can hold his head up and think he's one of the best in the world at his job. Shocking.

It's a fact that Howard Webb has a cup of tea laced with magic mushrooms before each game, hence the inappropriate half smile permanently residing on his kite, irrespective of incidents happening around him. No doubt he saw it but the question of what 'it' was.. well that's probably a mystery to him & it may have changed shape before he could see properly & kept moving away behind him whenever he moved his eyes.

As a policeman, he perhaps used to work for the drug sqaud & is now floating happily along on his stash of confiscated merchendise, whilst thinking he is the best in the world & in fact, on top of it.

well constructed response.

Related, i cannot stop an OCD-like cracking of my ankle. It just "feels" like it needs to be cracked. Who has a solution? Preferably not involving carbohydrates. I need to watch my carbs. The skinny jeans apparently aren't fixing that just yet.

cheers
