Maybe that's why, when Mancini to a "team" off for some work there were only 9 outfield players :)

Oooo, I like your thinking Columbo! Did that seem weird to you at the time or does that happen often?

I have a feeling Nasri is in the bag, don't know why just a gut feeling. If Arse get knocked out of chumps league then they will have to sell. Mind you, if he does play then he will be cup-tied and his value will drop by a few million. Wenger is just posturing atm, he would like to leave it as late as possible to sell him, but I do believe he will eventually.

It's possible that they have decided to hold on to Fabregas though.

I can't see them selling both either...... and if they did, there'd be something massive going on behind the scenes in Emirates.

Pretty sure that they're not selling Fab. They just rejected Barca's latest 35m offer...which is 5m short of what Arsenal wants.
Barca has no money to buy him...spent it all on Alexis Sanchez.

Fabregas has one club on his mind - Barcelona. He has no interest in playing for Arsenal any more. Same with Nasri who apparently put in an awful performance against Boca Juniors to demonstrate to Wenger where his heads at. Arsenal aren't doing themselves any favours here. Wenger may be trying to fend both us and Barca away hoping to get past the deadline and force them both to stay till the end of the season, but the longer it drags on the worse the outcome for Arse in my opinion. Neither Nasri or Cesc want to play for the club... Wenger is once again looking like a stubborn tit.

My prediction:
Both Nasri and Cesc will leave and Arsenal in the next few weeks - Nas to us and Cesc to Barca - Arsene wont be able to get adequate replacements because he left it too late... Arsenal will finish the season in 6th and Wenger will be fired after another potless season...

I think that's kinda messed up. At least when Tevez has asked to leave he gives 100% on the pitch....
DOnt get me wrong, I'm dying for Nasri to join us (as he's been one of my favorite players for awhile) but I think
intentionally putting in a bad performance on the pitch to engineer a move from a club is kinda messed up.

Alan Brazil said yesterday morning that he had a conversation with a very depressed Arsenal fan - one of those loaded ones that goes on the plane with the players. This guy said that Nasri and Wenger had a massive row on the plane back from Austria the other day, standing up and shouting at each other in their native lingo. Then Nasri stomped off to the back to sulk.

Fabregas to Barca, Nasri to us. It's just that - as someone daid the other day - Arsenal are a 'good selling club', so they'll drag out every penny, and bugger strengthening their own team.

Just goes to show what a useless cunt Wenger is at times. When a player wants to fuck off and it becomes obvious then you have to sell.......he is fucking up his own chances of getting someone in to replace him as the clock ticks away.
I cant see Arsenal getting 5th let alone top 4.

Wenger has peaked & is on the way down imo. He was the master of pass & move but he inherited the defensive strategy put in place by George Graham & Don Howe. Once their influence had finally worn off & the last of their players went, Arsenal's defence started to fall apart. Now he has to build one himself he can't. He needs an assistant who can or he'll be sacked.

The reality for Wenger is that City are just significantly more powerful than Arsenal and he absolutely recoils in horror that this is how things have turned. He appears top be horribly bitter about it, even baconface manages to acknowledge our power and status. He absolutely cannot prevent Nasri leaving; the board will be £20m down if he does and the fella leaves on a free next year...that and his years wages. Wenger knows the sensible economics is to sell to us, he's just delaying to disrupt our plans for a title push as best he can. He's a twat.

He should have made a few solid signings to toughen up the team over the last few years rather than putting all his faith in vastly overrated youngsters. He could have signed a few players but he chose not to. He's tried to be clever, showing how brilliant he is at unearthing gems, & he's fucked it up.

i still think Nasri will join us (despite the Sneijder rumors today) but Fab will stay until January or next season (so he's not cup tied).
They will bring in a few more faces at Arsenal (like that Campbell kid next week and 1 or 2 more) but nothing big (like Mata) and wont make top 4...

A midfielder AND a winger Bobby said! The Sneijder thing is a funny one. Would Gazetta just make it up like the Sun? I dont know enough about the Italian press.

Well he's obviously not signed a contract. That's illegal seeing as no fee has been agreed.

not sure about that mate. The club can allow a player to talk to a certain club meanwhile they discuss other terms of the deal or am I mistaken?
Wasn't that exactly how the case with Boateng went? We gave him permission to talk to Bayern, they agreed deals but then we refused to accept their initial bid and waited for them to increase it. Once they did, they had already agreed terms with the player so it was a done deal as soon as clubs agreed the fee ?

edit: it might be that he hasn't signed the deal but he might've agreed a deal.
another edit: not sure how these actually go so if someone has certain knowledge, please tell
