tin hat??

honestly ill get under that tin hat with you mate...i didn't think he was dreadful. He wasn't a world beater, but the criticism is much harsher than the actuality of what i watched. He needs a run of half-dozen matches to bang in 2 or 3 and get his confidence up. That's all.

Also, has anyone mentioned that the defending for Silva's 'wonder goal' was like fucking so abysmal to make the goal literally comical. i mean i loved Silva's play for the first goal in getting the cross into Tevez, and sure Silva had a good spell and changed the match...fantastic. That's what he's supposed to do. But all the fuss over how fucking amazing his goal was needs to be tempered with the consideration that what we viewed was some of the shittest defending i've seen in a while. If we'd seen that on youtube from the Dutch league we'd be laffing our asses off. Just sayin...

cheers

im not buying that.. looked to me that Silva just did what he does... not sure any defenders would have been any better.

soccer is so coool sometimes don t you think?

to be honest i don't think it's cool at all. i find my addiction to City and my love for this game is probably unhealthy. But i do enjoy the stress and excitement and the ritual of it. Cool tho...only in terms of the new Umbro shit that's been made this season and last. I've got heaps of it, so yeah, i guess that's cool. But the actual real genuine article is in and of itself feet of stress intermingled with inches of joy.

cheers

P.S. i did watch the goal again today and it was fucking sublime.

It was fantastic & will do him a lot of good. Wonder if Mancini will save him for the Arsenal game? Got a feeling his next performance will be a corker.

It was a good guess considering you had a 50-50 chance on it.

However take a minute and consider your answer.

But I was on the opposite side of the pitch from the camera.

From Sky Sports
David Silva believes he is improving as a player, as are the Manchester City team.

The Spain international has made a quiet start to his career at Eastlands following his £26million move from Valencia in the summer.

However, the 24-year-old playmaker is now coming to terms with life in the Premier League and inspired Roberto Mancini's side to a thrilling 3-2 victory against Blackpool on Sunday.

Silva told the club's official website: "I think that, physically, I'm feeling better day by day.

"Of course, I need to get a few more minutes on the pitch to get to optimum fitness levels and I'm sure that will happen with so many games coming up.

"I've been away a couple of times with national team and that hasn't helped.

"I've settled well in Manchester but, again, the international break probably came at a bad time for me.

Treated well

"I love the club and fans already and I'm starting to learn English so I can communicate better with my team-mates so, as time goes on, things will get easier for me.

"I've been treated really well by everyone and the other players have been great, but I need to push on now.

"The Premier League is exactly the way I thought it would be with a high-tempo to the games.

"It's very competitive and a challenge, but one I'm enjoying and ultimately hope to thrive in.

"I think I'm getting up to speed now. It's not just about playing games, it's about getting more training sessions under your belt - something I've been able to do more of late.

"I'm getting there, just more slowly than I would have liked."

Very likeably fella is Dave, cannot wait to see him and Tevez play together when they have an even better understanding. They seem to compliment eachother so well.

"I love the club and fans alread" - The feelings mutual!

Well he's taken all of about three weeks to settle into the premier league eh?

Absolute class and gets stuck in working back as well. Truly great pass/cross for our third tonight.

....is a class act - looked really good tonight and I really admire the way Mancini has 'leaked' him rather than drop in at the deep end - it is because we have such a good squad we can do this - our squad will be at its peak capability when other 'top' teams are weakest - augers really well for those who lumped on at 11/1 for us to win the league !!
