Although it was infinitely better than the last effort I still thought we were not 100% convincing. Slovenia were there to be battered and we won 1 nil and looked really ropey for the last 10 minutes or so. At times today we passed the ball with the kind of quick tempo those players use in the PL & it should have resulted in 3-4 goals. It should be noted how shit the pitch was & how well they passed it too. What happened v Algeria? Heskey & Lennon?

Unfortunately I just can't see how Upson or Carragher can play against ANY decent team without conceding goals. They're both so slow it's almost comical. If wio was fully fit I'd be confident of at least winning a couple of games but now our defence is as bad as Argentina's or Germany's & that will probably be the downfall of all 3 teams.

Would have thought that if Dawson was going to play, today would have been the day. Think Capello will stick with the plodders & the likes of Ozil (& Tevez if we get through that), will take the piss. We'll need to score plenty of goals or be very lucky I recon.
