I don't quite get this one. So you prefer Mahrez then on the right?

Torres, sure, but who's better now?

How many more posts about "finishing" does it take? lol

Torres is 20, Leo is 35.
Torres is FAST ; Leo used to be.
This is the ENGLISH Premier League ; Leo's been playing in Spain all his career . . .
No gracias

Absolutely that ship has sailed. He is too old to make a meaningful impression on this league now, 5 years ago most certainly but now is it worth the hassle.
He would be just not worth the circus, disruption and distraction it would cause, not even considering how much his wages would be.
Imagine if he came and it didn't go well for him, more shit for the media to tarnish us with.
I would much prefer if we crack on with proper development of the squad and look for a player for the future, rather than one of the past.

Hypothetically speaking, if I was offered Haaland for 100m or Messi for free, I know who I would be picking.

"proper development of the squad and look for a player for the future" - absolutely right - and I think we've got several good candidates emerging.

Koeman's not going anywhere anytime soon. The temporary board that's in place until the election cannot hire a manager or buy or sell any players.

Damn!
I was hoping we might recruit him to replace Agent Solskjaer , who will need to be extracted soon.

This is mentioned in another thread but I think it's a case of who is going to blink first in Madrid or at the swamp can see them both having Poch lined up.

In what realms of fantasy does Torres get compared to Messi. Let’s get real. Messi replaces income lost over this period. We have smart owners , if it’s on we will be in for him.

I hear you.

However, Torres is not a finished product.

Yes, Pace is a fair criqique of Messi, but he can also play as a false 9 and create space for pacey wingers and shoot or pass.

He is still doing it at his age, and his other attributes are off the charts for attacking.

The idea Messi can't do it in the PL is silly.

You do remember David Silva right?

Messi is still one of the best footballers in the world and yeah, we don't want him.

Very strange and feels anti-Spain anti-Barca biased, IMHO.

Do any saying this watch him play? He's still performing very well.

his xG is the best on Barca and that's with Fati playing well:

If Messi stays beyond January you can bet its because PeP is going back there in the summer.

Perhaps why Pep hasn’t committed to us yet. He’s waiting to see what happens in March with Barca?

Would be nice , But I don’t think the cartel would let them go under , some massive sponsor will appear
and FFP will disappear,
