I’d like to know why Haaland wasn’t chomping at the bit to take it. He is our striker on a mega contract and this was a golden opportunity forsaken.

It defies logic and belief.

I would like to know why VAR failed to force a retake of the penalty , since Henderson clearly moved off the line well before the ball was kicked.

That too. But I think we know the answer there.

Any striker worth his salt should want to take a penalty, especially how the game was playing out

Perhaps Haarland did want to take the penalty, but was under instructions to let Marmoush have a go ? Since it was Bernie that was fouled, you might expect Bernie to take it.

Maybe he was under instruction from Pep. Which is then OK as it was pre-ordained. But if not, then for me, it poses serious questions about Haaland

Not for me, he freely passed the ball over to Marmoush.
It is not Haarlands fault Marmoush missed is it ?

Maybe Marmoush was caught on the hop by being given the opportunity? That said a professional footballer should be able to step up at a moment’s notice.

But Haaland having never scored in a final for us, nor in his last 6 games at Wembley, you’d think would want a golden opportunity to put that right

I for one am disappointed in him

Mind boggling that Haaland didn’t take it….one of the best strikers in the world and he hands it over no issues no argument just a “here you go son” bizarre

I am with you on this.

No half decent Striker passes up the opportunity to score in a Cup Final. He is allegedly paid Half a Million a week to score goals for us.

Really weak mentality this shows.

If Pep doesn't go, then we should sell him to the highest bidder and reinvest because our style does not suite his lazy arsed play style.

Haaland body language is terrible.

Him being the focal point for the whole team is a joke..

I know the service to him is not great.

No excuses though for lack of effort. Just stands there on the back post like a useless lump. Sergio used to go hunting the Ball when he wasn't getting service. Haaland just stands there throwing his Hands about.

He should be dropped Tuesday we need fighters not lazy shirkers.

Totally agree with this.

Agreed. Sergio didn't used to do that hunting and when Pep came he had to change, and did.

Aguero scored in most crucial games..Haaland goes missing more often than not in them......PeP was a lucky bastard to have so many world class players in his team but now that he hasn't we are seeing that he just has not got a clue who to play and where to play them.

Battling to get a CL spot with 2 games to go is a fucking disgrace for Man City FC.....a fucking disgrace.

Just heard Pep say " We don't discuss who takes penalties before a game "

I know you Pep sycophants will say he is talking shit to deflect and protect Haaland.

What if everything is true ?

We fuck off to Catalonia on a Holiday a week before one of the most important games of the Season. Redemption of some sort with an FA Cup win and silverware.

He has already told us he doesn't pick the best 11 players to start a game based on form and credit banked from recent performances. He employs his own criteria for games players he thinks need minutes/Rotation/His Golden Oldies etc. Absolutely nothing to do with form. Now it begins to make perfect sense why he shoe horned Haaland/Akanji back in to the winning side when you realise this.

We fly back in from Catalonia, did we even practice the system ?,did we even discuss if it goes to penalties ?,he is likely telling the truth.

The whole Club has become unprofessional and complacent.

The entire set up has become jobs for the Boys instead of jobs for the best. A shit beyond useless nodding Dog assistant manager......do we even have a set piece coach, or is it just one of Pep extended family masquerading as one ?.Why do so many players look permanently fucked and unfit, what is the Club dietician doing ?.Some of them like KDB look a good Stone overweight. I am starting to think KDB fitness has affected his form, Ronaldo still going strong at 40,KDB is only 34.He goes to a big Club next season don't be surprised to see a miraculous transformation.

Have heard People compare the City Campus these days to a H10 Hotel. Players Male/Female walking around in Towels Flip Flops, Doing Youtube/Tick tock Videos and interviews on social media.

We have took our Eye of the Ball, we let the Manager become bigger than the Club, replacing a good set up with all his mates.

When he says " i dont discuss who takes penalties" i am inclined to believe him.

It is unexpected if you take the last decade into consideration, it isn’t if you take the previous 120 years into consideration. We don’t have a god given right to anything. The only disgrace in my view, is an arrogance to believe that we should be anything just because we’re city. That is the realm of the red teams and we derided it for years. 15 years ago we were beside ourselves at the thought of getting to an FA Cup semi final…..and now look at us…….spoiled bastards it seems, I’m aiming that at us fans in general Carl, not at you!!!!. This season is a reality check, yes Pep is seemingly being a proper cunt for whatever unrest is clearly happening behind the scenes, he won’t and shouldn’t last long if it continues into next season. Tonight’s game is much much more important than Saturday’s, we are playing a team that has absolutely nothing to play for, they’ll be relaxed and are a good team and can play great football at times. I’m worried, and it’s because I just don’t think we have the mental capacity to overcome anything at the moment. 5-0 City

The danger for me is the continued use of "spoilt". Sparkles post rightly points out the difference in expectations as a result of the great ownership and our meteoric rise in this country over the past 15 years No-one is saying we have a god given right to be the top dogs, what most are pointing out is the massive drop in standards across the entire piece this season. I've every faith that our leadership are on this and we will see a marked improvement over the summer.

Spot on. Not to mention the absolutely boring football being offered up with some of the best players in the world. It's not being spoilt wanting to have some sort of entertainment

I said I don’t mind losing matches and I really don’t , what I mind is the disgusting decisions the manager has made all season - this is what irks me , the manner of our draws and losses , most of which are down to bad management.

I actually said at the start of the season that I don’t mind not winning any trophies as long as he plays the young players and gives them good playing time ( and in their rightful positions ) - imagine o Reilly playing from the start ?

It’s his piss wank arrogant management style that has irked me - he still thinks he has David silva and the likes on the field !!

completely agree Carl. The sad fact is that the majority of our players are decent . The old Morecambe and Wise joke, 'all the right notes but not in the right places' . Our manager can't get a tune out of them for love nor money, he is tone deaf.
