I'm not a fan of Millwall fans and would not boo kneeling myself, but this was always going to happen.

BBC News - Millwall 0-1 Derby: Game overshadowed by fans booing players taking a knee before kick-off
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55111474

In many ways, BLM has become an extremely divisive movement.

I suppose many will liken any critics of excessive ineffective kneeling with Millwall yobs now.

Just like BLM are free to do their marches and take their knees - Millwall are allowed to boo a political movement, or boo something they don’t think should have anything to do with football. For all we know their fans may be booing the looting and rioting that’s happened at BLM marches.

QPR stopped taking the knee weeks back. It’s their choice.

Seems like it’s only free speech if it’s one sided..

I was under the impression that it was now "all sorts of discrimination" opposed just BLM.

That said, the clubs supporters are notoriously racist (as usual not all of them, but they all get tarred with the same brush).

The club were only fined £10K last year, because of a section of their fans racist chants.

I went to watch Bury when I was a kid and they played Millwall (our fans were banned from going there and Millwall fans likewise) so it was the first time I’d encountered them. Not the nicest bunch it must be said!

That's bullshit mate and you know it. Of course they're "allowed" to boo in the spirit of free speech, but don't try to make them into political martyrs. They're bigoted, racist pricks.

The majority of Millwall’s fans that booed probably are racist mate. But my worry is we’re moving in to a world now where if a football player decides ‘you know what, I’m not kneeling for a political movement. Happy to help the Kick it Out campaign, but I don’t want to get involved in BLM’ then the world will call them racist. McLean has been hounded for years because of his personal decision not to wear a poppy.

For me personally, I wouldn’t boo. I’d just make sure I turned up to my seat after the kneeling because I don’t think glorying rapists, drug dealers, murderers etc, whatever colour they are, is a great idea.

I’ve heard commentators mentioning that kneeling is now against all sorts of discrimination and I’m all for it, however they should make it clear by some kind of stadium announcement or banner.

i heard on talksport yesterday that coronavirus has been particularly hard for the lgbtq community...

i’ve also read articles that have told me that holidays, the countryside and wine are all racist because they are, no word of lie, intimidating for people of colour.
