Mushy pea scored an equaliser. Balo seeing a lot of the ball but just can't get a clear shot away. I reckon he'll score though...

Italy up 1-0 over Mexico after a Pirlo set piece but Hernandez tied it with a penalty.

Mario gives Italy the lead with a nice finish but of course gets a yellow for taking off his shirt

Well, it's interesting to note how much Balotelli has improved in the eyes of the BBC since he's left City. They are actually now lying about him to put him in a positive light.

Perfect behaviour too & the victim of fouls all the time. No problem with him squaring up to the Mexican defender or chucking his boot across the pitch, all perfectly understandable. Not even a 2nd mention.

Esattamente! Even his moaning at Pirlo for taking the free-kicks was seen as an opportunity for jocularity.

Spain diving everywhere.

Good two goals though. Uruguay hardly can get on the ball. Maybe Spain can get up 4-0 and Silva and Navas can come on

I'd say one good goal and one lucky goal, the keeper had the first covered.

Some of the Spanish football is excellent but the continual diving when somebody brushes their hair is so annoying. Funny that they've just said that FIFA maybe clamping down on elbows etc and Spain make sure they roll around from the slightest of a sign.

Maybe somebody gave them a heads-up, or maybe they are just cheating soft cunts?

Spain look miles better with a striker in the team (who isn't Torres) & actually plays in the middle (unlike Villa).

There is a real danger at the end of all the passing & they are even hitting the occasional cross or diagonal into the box.

Uruguay are proving how two top players can look like no marks if the rest of the team breaks down & doesn't feed them properly. Something that should be taken into consideration when writing off everyone in our reserve team.
