Hazy,
Despite what some seem to ASSUME, I'm NOT attacking Pixie and Dixie. Nor being emotional, nor paranoid about this mate. Nor am I defending a well paid off Mancini. That is a wholly other issue. But I am certain in my mind that what we have been told is NOT the truth.
I am also certain that most of the subsequent reports that have appeared regarding Mancini, unnamed players' disloyal and damaging actions towards the club and unsubstantiated reports of conditions within the club have once again made our club into a laughing stock in the World's media.
The culling of Mancini, his coaching staff and the coaches at the Academy have served one purpose. They have cemented Trixie's position and removed anyone who may QUESTION. It has removed all personnel at the club who may have had a valid but opposite view of the way forward. Trixie is now in total control of ALL matters football at the club.

The media have had and are having a field day at our expense once again. But it just happens to serve the position of Trixie well. Having removed any possible opposition and quashed any chance of debate within the club, these damaging reports have set the media and the fans talking about what has been reported. Mancini, the players, the chaos, and the ground expansion.

More importantly, they have served to deflect and diminish any questioning or examination of the REALLY IMPORTANT ISSUES AND SERVED TO QUELL ANY CRITIQUE OR QUESTIONING OF TRIXIE'S ROLE IN THE FUTURE OF OUR CLUB.

What happens now will define our club for the foreseeable future. It is not the removal of a manager it is the foundation of what sort of club you, I and our kids and possibly our grandkids will be watching in the coming years. And some of you think it's paranoia to want to examine, or question it. If you are happy to accept what you are given without question, then fine, that is your right. Personally I think we should be alert. The evidence of whatwe could get issat over theroad at the swamp and how their fans are treated. Yours if you want it.

John,
What is the Utopian alternative that you think we need to follow? I don't recall City fans ever having a say in anything the club does. Yes we may have been asked questions and now we get lots of online surveys, but do we really get a say? You'd have to say the fans were ignored over Mancini considering how his name was sung, yet he wouldn't be the first sacking the fans didn't want, or the first appointment we didn't want either.

The British model for clubs is one where fans have a very limited say. The answer has always been to stay away if you don't like it, as that's the only way an owner will care. The difference for almost all premier league clubs these days is that gate receipts are only a small part of the income and, for the top clubs at least, there's a queue of fans waiting to take the places of those who stop going.

Football has changed, for better or worse, and we're just catching up. I'd say in the owners, we're in good hands, much better and safer hands than most other premier league chairmen and than a lot of other owners who may have been born and bred blues but didn't always have the money to compete or keep us afloat. The long term ambitions, with the academy, the stadium expansion and the other things they'll have in the pipeline will make us sustainable for the foreseeable.

The owners have also chosen to go with the Spaniards' model - so either they're in on it or they've been taken in as well.

The choice is to accept it or go and support a non-league club, where the fans count. Having just renewed my ticket, I know where my vote goes.

Why would they dig it out now? Suppose they have run out of crap to accuse Mancini of and so need to use this to distract fans from the real issues.

What arrogant bastards they are turning out to be.....Swales was a twat but at least he was a blue one.

You seriously worry me at the moment John.
You know that i respect you and your opinion probably more than any other person on this site. I can see you really have a bee in your bonnet about stuff, but i genuinely don't get it.
I need a pow wow with you at your persuasive best, to tell me why I shouldn't be pleased Bob has gone, and more importantly why i should be worried for the future of Manchester City.
You going Townley tomorrow? If not i'll ring yer so you can teach me the error of my ways.

Piccs,

It is quite obvious you have no clue what I am on about...because you are still quoting Mancini at me. I moved on from that issue ages ago.
Sorry mate but as much as I love you, I have no intention of going through it all again...It is all there to read.

Tovaritch Chigorin understood when he asked "Who watches the watchers".
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

John, I aint that stupid, I do realise your concern is for the future and it's summat to do with the Spafia. But the sacking of Mancini is what appears to have triggered this outrage.
Ultimately no matter how much they manouvre things about and secure power, the club, and them, are at the mercy of one man. The guy with the cash.
If a model for the club is envisaged with youth development and it's heart ( which is clearly the desire) and it's a strong one that will withstand a change of manager (coach) what is wrong with that? Surely it 's a good thing. Bob didn't fit the bill somebody else will.
Equally the Spafia will be replaceable. And to be perfectly fair, looking at the transfer rumours (and yes they are just rumours I know) and the overdue removal of Mancini, they are doing just fine and dandy so far.
One man has supreme power at our club. Without him we'd be scratching round doing fuck all and possibly be involved in a promotion or relegation issue right now.

This is where I'm struggling. Why are you so angry about it? (there seems a less laid back tone to your missives)
Why are you so worried about the Spafia?
What is wrong with the model the club appear to want to put in place?
Come and have beer Mateypeeps.
