I hope we keep him. Yes he f*cked us over but I'd be willing to move on from that at this stage especially if he's gonna score us 20 goals next season.

But more than anything, and this I will NEVER understand on personal level, he shat on his teammates. There should be NO way back from that. I really mean that. That sort of attitude is fucking lowest kind and if there's one thing I will teach to my son in this life is NEVER TO QUIT ON YOUR TEAM (may the team be family, friends, work or football). That's just not right.

Quinn. Footballers should be able to be sacked for gross misconduct like the rest of us. Fine dock his wages for refusing to play, but fucking off to play golf in another country should be stackable on the spot with no pay off as its gross misconduct. Fine we would lose a player and some potential money for reselling but it would send a powerful message.

Exactly.

I'm not arghuing against that, am I. I'm talking about principles and you need to maintain some standards in your life. My standard is that I stay away from cunts who give up on team. Whatever the team may be.

I wonder though, had we sacked him would players have been so soft about critism directed at them?

Yeah I know, he did a whole bunch of cuntish things over that year and a half.

I'm not defending that stuff, I just don't see another player that offers what he does on the pitch and like the other players I've forgiven him.

I was searching through my old posts looking for something last night and I came across the thread from his transfer request. It is amazing how quickly that has been forgotten after his walk out. Wonderful player but a complete cunt who cannot be trusted. I was tempted to bump it back up to show how many of his admirers these days wanted him dead at that point.

My favourite posts in the entire thread is from Lee_R who suggest we should sell him and buy Edin Dzeko and Fernando Torres.

City fans with Tevez are like battered with wife's who claim 'he loves me really'.

I agree, however I thought you were heading down the line of "all of the Tevez drama was from the Mancini reign" line and he was a prick before that, and before us as well, however he is rather unique as a forward and I am not sure we can replicate that energy with anyone else. And with 12 months left I'd prefer they sign him up for another 3 years but if they fail to do that, cashing in on him now is the only financially prudent thing to do.

Again great player but quitting your team..... I would never forgive that. Not in real life and certainly not for City. I really mean it. Even if some cunt is drilling holes on the boat you keep fucking rowing. That's the right thing to do. That's taking care of your mates in shitstorm. Not fucking quitting on them. I honestly mean it. I can't stand people like that in ANY walk of life.

He should never have refused to warm up. But I have little doubt in my mind that there were two cunts involved. Him and Mancini.

And no matter what anyone tries to tell me, I think tevez played a far bigger role in rescuing a season that was turning to shit than mancini did.

I know what I saw.

fuck sake...he didn't refuse to warm up. He said something like "i'm already warmed up..." which was a snappy response to De Jong getting inserted into the game instead of him when he took Jayko off. I think the combination of Jayko's actions and Tevez shit and Mancini's failings in Europe are what made it combustible and combust it did. Both to blame, but hats off to Tevez for coming back and scoring some critical goals to win us the league.

Carlo should stay. Esssss normal.

cheers

It's good that you said it rather than me. But yeah, there are definite similarities to getting your ass kicked in a relationship. Such a charming guy most of the time and everybody around you loves him as well. Still you know that if things go slightly off rails as often happens he will snap again and you are up for another beating. You tell yourself that he did the same thing to that dirty ex of his as well.

Sadly you're right. Heart would rather play him for 12 months but head/ffp says sell him if he refuses a contract.

My biggest gripe in all of this tho is the half arsed punishment that has carried on for the last year. Have you noticed how many times hes been brought off at the 60 min mark this season? It's hurt the team over the old grudge.

Torn on this one. Tevez is a cunt admittedly, but i blame Mancini for fucking that up last season. Stupid, emotional outburst post match, wiped millions off his value and denied us our best striker for six months.

I'd like us to say to him, "sign on for two more years then at the end you can fuck off to Boca with our blessing"
Even if he doesn't sign, I'd be tempted just to play him next season anyway, as he is that hard for us to replace.

You said "I'm blaming Mancini fucking up last season". If winning League title means "fucking up season" then I hope we will have many many fucked up seasons to look forward to.

Generally, calm down. He left. Take a quick wank and move on.

Missing tevez post xmas played a big part in us nearly throwing the league.

That was down to both mancini and tevez.

Our resurgence was down, for the most part, to Tevez coming back.

That's how difficult he will be to replace. He firstly wanted out because his family were no longer with him. Of course, that was his doing, but it was a fact.

After that, it was all him and mancini. I hope we keep him at least one more season, even if it means him leaving for nothing next season. Us being back on top and doing well in europe is worth more to us than whatever we could fetch with his sale. By far.
