NQDP, I've grown to like you a lot over my time on this board and really appreciate your thoughts on City and football. That said, when ever something ground-shifting happens at City you turn into the football equivalent of an intellectual bully, for which I can't think of an appropriate term. You shouldn't be telling people that they should be ashamed of expressing opinions a, b and c. We're all on the same side here. Let people have their reasons for liking Kiddo, for rating Shrek as a footballer if not as a human being, and - going back a bit - for wanting Hughes to be given more time. You've got your reasons for supporting City despite being from Finland, and I bet you've (quite rightly) grown sick of explaining why you do since September 2008.
I hope you settle down a bit when the new manager comes in because I look forward to looking forward to your posts again.
I grew up round the corner from Kiddo, saw him around a lot, helped me once while fitting a spare right outside his house one time. Sweet guy like he comes across in interviews. The fact that he has both played and been part of the management of both Manc clubs without any long term rancour or bad feeling says it all about him. A gent is the correct word and anyone who dislikes him cos he was at the rags is both ignorant and evidently stuck up their own arse. Ring any bells?
Kidd would be fine running the show for a while even a season if needs be while we get the right manager. As we know he isn't so comfortable taking the burden on and fronting it all so long term wouldn't be his thing I don't think.
