Didn't subscribe to the cup scheme Direct so that I could take my 7 year old to his first games. Went to all the home Cup games with him sitting next to me. He's now an ardant City fan.
But by introducing the next generation to The Blues I've missed out on a final ticket! Maybe City need to think this through next time!

I'm In the cup scheme and still took my lad to every cup game he's only a city kicks member

I'm in a similar situation but got lucky as the two seats next to us aren't season tickets. We've got two adults in the cup scheme, a child who has a season ticket but isn't in it and a child who's just a city kicks member. By clever booking of seats, we've managed to get 4 tickets for each game. But if I was sat in a block where it was all season ticket holders on the cup scheme, I couldn't have done that.

I didn't want my daughter's season ticket to be on the cup scheme as she can't make night games. Next season I might have to do it anyway

The supporters clubs aren't getting all of what was requested either, should be warned to order more on the safe side not to let anyone down.

You can ring up and move your seat for cup games, so the club have considered situations like that.

Mase, I sympathise with you to an extent, but the only way to be equitable is to apply a consistent policy. If City want to ensure full houses at cup games - which we all recognised was a problem, then having the carrot of a virtually certain ticket for the final, seems to have motivated enough people to join the cup scheme and actually turn up for games against Barnsley etc.

Remember 2 seasons ago we had a tier closed for the FA cup quarter final vs Reading which was embarrassing.

Ultimately your personal circumstances are no interest to City who are simply trying to find ways to fill the ground for games that have traditionally been a problem. And it seems to be working.

I work away in Northampton and cannot attend midweek games and my work has been a very high profile project that has kept me at bay for a while. Its going live soon and everyone (uk) will see the adverts soon on tv. First one being 11th may!! So my life is being given back to me and now I am off to work in London for 12 months :-( lucky me. My lad has a season card but there is no way I can have one with the job I have. It's a bitch, but that's life.

Depends on the situation I suppose, but a mate of mine took the opposite view to me on the black market final tickets, and joined the cup schemes in full knowledge he couldn't get to a single game, but would have no hassle with a final ticket if we made it.

I'm going to be abroad for the next 3/4 years and have chosen to keep the season ticket just so I dont have hassle with waiting lists, being sat away from mates etc when I get back. I cant be arsed with the cup schemes though, as if i want to go to a final, i'll just pay the money i saved not joining the cup schemes on a black market ticket.

If i'd not kept the season ticket, i'd have taken the same view thag i know i would have to go down the black market route. If though, it cost £500 for a champions league final ticket through the secondary market, its false economy binning the season ticket, which is another reason i chose to keep mine.

I'll lose out big time on points, and it may well be that i've fallen out of the bracket where I am guaranteed a final ticket even if i rejoin the cup schemes on my return as many will have overtaken me due to me not racking up double piints for platinum this, cup scheme that etc. So it might well be black market all the way from now on.

Its one of those, if you understand what your choices and implications are at the outset, you can be much more pragmatic when it comes to situations like this. I understand people's frustrations, but theres no way to keep everyone happy.

I have around 4k points so won't get one like I didn't for the last cup final?

Oh well... Looks like I'm watching it in York, not even Mary D's :(

I was considering registering for Wigan membership...

Didnt learn from last time then... Join the cup scheme! Not rocket science really!

If you've joined it then you've been to all the rounds and deserve your chance to go to the final. If you have a load of points put didn't join the scheme then tough shit. You knew the craic at the start of the season so don't whinge now if you can't get a ticket

Is anybody "in the know" here regarding how far down the loyalty point allocation the tickets will get to? The child with a qualifying adult tickets are now sold out, I qualify on Monday and my lad qualifies on Tuesday. So I'm now in the position of either getting mine on Monday, or risk missing out by waiting till Tuesday to get both.

I emailed City to be told they couldn't divulge such information. Thanks for nothing.

If you are both in the Cup scheme Id say you will be fine. Word is we have just under 17k in the FA Cup scheme and we got 26k tickets, so even allowing for the player/family/execs etc you should be fine.
