Fucking Lahm, obviously the reason they didn't win.

well deserved victory. Spain were better for 90 minutes, albeit playing a bit too over complicated in the first half.
Can't see how the Dutch will have a chance against this Spanish team.

I'm voting for Lahm.

Wrong thread ;-)

Holland v Spain final, a game I'm looking forward to. Germany have been good but experience (Germany without Muller) as shone through.

Thought Silva had a good 8 mins on the pitch and its a pity greedy Torres didnt pass to him to hit it home.

I really enjoyed that. I'm pissed off with Pedro. That spurned chance cost me the pick the score in the tipping competition. Would have put me level. BASTARDO!!!

Pedro deserves a good shoeing for not squaring to Torres. Unbelievable!

Enjoyed that game though, can't believe I'm gutted for Germany!

Some great touches (4 to be precise) and 2 sublime passes. Let's not forget the positions he got into as well, Torres just doesn't know how to play football ;-)

This was an interesting game & produced some nice passing, interesting tactical battles etc but I prefer the kind of stuff the BBC showed after it finished, with Cruyff etc. Apart from the odd goal, this world cup has lacked magic, almost completely.

Germans have done themselves proud in this tournament but imo the final will be contested between the two teams with the highest percentage of quality players & fewest weaknesses, which is fair enough. Spain have the strength in depth but Robben will take some stopping.

Good luck to whoever wins but roll on August when the real football starts.

Better team deserved the win.....
Until the goal all seemed to be a penalty shoot out as Spain didn´t got enough out of their chances and their pressure.

But.... when you don´t attack you can´t score one. Spain always tried to do one, we had much enough to do not to conseed one.

All in one, it was a pleasure to watch this german team this campaign. (Hope) more to follow in a cinema next to you :-)

You had a few chances mate but the reality is that the tactics were all wrong. I think you've done really well and you can see that the German team will do well in the next few competitions, but the thing I see them doing wrong is that they always want to sit, waiting to open it up on the break. It is a good tactic, but at least you know you need a plan B.

Massive credit though, I guessed you wouldn't make it passed here and thought this was an achievement for a young team. Muller was missing and you still put a case forward that you could be in the final.

Did fantastically well to get this far with a young team. Be interesting to see how it develops.

Fair play to Germany but Spain were better team, simple as.

Hands up everyone who were sure Krauts were going to score in injury time!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

For me the fact there is going to be a new name on the WC is a really good thing. And we have a couple of players in it.
Great to see that the old regulars got put out on their arses.
Come on Spain!!!

i thought that was a crap game, Germany were just standing around half the time, no effort and not able to pass to each other. Spain were animated but ended up playing like Barca.. too much passing and no real creativity, same old same old.
the germans only started putting an effort in after the goal and it was too late to get their act together. Pathetic game of football.

Kroos had a brilliant chance in the 2nd half to turn the game completely on its head, shame he scuffed it a bit and the ball went straight at Casillas.
