Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

First of all, i've been along (a couple of months back) to a couple of training sessions - the first time I went along they were doing a double session... yes under Hughes!!! They were on their lunch in the middle of the sessions, so didn't hang around to watch.
I went down the next day and met Mr. Higginbottom himself, and as he said earlier - Bellamy was training the same as everyone else.
Also - bearing in mind the obvious homework Mancini seems to have done on Stoke already, I find it hard to believe that he knew nothing of Bellamy's knee problem or any special training schedule he may have. So all in all this story just strikes me as a load of made up, red-top bollocks - they've just targetted the 'most likely' candidate in Bellers because he's got a bit of history. W@nkers

Going back in time Socs, when you 1st posted this bullying nonsense. It was unsubstantiated rubbish then that you instigated. It was sheer conjecture that you manufactured by putting two and two together and making anything but four.
It was stupidly siezed on then by others, treated as truth to suit their agenda.
It was garbage then...It is garbage now.
For the record, I had a long journey in the cab with Hughes while he played for the rags. Until that time, I had considered him an animal. I was suprised to find him a softly spoken, affable person, very patient with my City v the rags banter. Certainly not what I expected.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Going back in time John, when you 1st posted this double session double standard nonsense. It was unsubstantiated nonsense that the newspapers instigated. It was sheer conjecture that you used to have a go at anyone who wasn't a fan of Hughes and by putting two and two together you have made the newspapers day and not sure what number that comes up with.
It was stupidly seized(spelt correctly) on then by no others, which should give you a clue, but you certainly used it to suit your agenda.
Garbage now...It is typical john68 now.

My thoughts too Dario. You'd think someone would mention it along the line.

Back to topic, I was hugely gutted to hear about the press conjecture about Twitch sniffing around Beller's. Words fail me if we sold Beller's when he's playing so well, I lurve the little Welsh abrasive magician :-(

amen to that.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

After watchin Twitchy on SSN applauding how good Bellers is,its obvious he wants him at Spuds.
Its a natural reaction that Bellers would be unhappy with the way MH was sacked. He's not played better under any other manager has he? I cannot believe Craig would want to take it one step further and ask for a transfer..He must look at the club and fans as a whole and how much hes been wanted since he came here.

I see a lot of differences regarding how you accept Mr mancini, as opposed to Hughes. Now that Mancicni imposes a double training session on a players dodgy knee...it's ok. When Hughes did similar with fully fit players, he was "BULYING HIS SLAVES".
Come on Antti...let's have a bit of equity here.
The double standards are pitiful.
We are doing double sessions because he has only precious few days to try and get his message through to squad. Before both seasons he was in charge, Hughes had all summer. I don't think double sessions will be any sort of standard in future.
The point I am making is the your accusation of "BULLYING" quite early last season, you were quick to jump on Hughes. Now we have a manager who makes a player with a "known" injury train beyond his capabilities. Mancini would have been well aware of this, but your attitude is totally different mate...I wonder why?
The reality is that this may just be bollox but your attitude to the thought of this happening, is supportive compared to the antagonism you showed to Hughes....again can we have some equity.
You always stated your opposition to Hughes was fair...Mmmmmmmm!!!!!
John I find myself in the unhappy situation of disagreeing with you again :o) Antti clearly states the reason why he isn't having a go about us doing double sessions, I'm sure that he'll adjust his opinion if its still happening in a month.
As you rightly point out though, the reality is that this is very likely just press bollox in any case.
Hack Journo 1 "so we need to make up more stories about Cidee today"
Hack Journo 2 "Easy, Bellamy, RSC and Given were all pally with Hughes, just make something up about them in training, no other reporters can contradict us cos no-one is allowed in"
I think the point John is quite rightly making is:
that irrespective of whether a report is factual or lazy journalism - some posters on here jumped on it to ridicule the manager of our club - supported by our owner - for personal agendas
now we see double standards / inconsistency.
I think that John is just tweaking NQDP's tail as he will have known before that the previous attitude was just part of the '...take every opportunity to slag off Hughes campaign' and therefore will not be surprised that now he has gone consistency is not applied
Anyway - Hughes is our ex-manager and Mancini is now the new manager - supported by our owner - so '....forward with Roberto!!!' for me - and merry xmas to all
(BTW - I notice that John is consistent in the way that he supports the club's manager)

Spoken like a true Hughes lover. And to my recollection you even claimed to be on the fence. Ridiculous.
We have a new manager now. No need to bring that nasty rag into every argument.

I thought the bullying accusations were because of Hughes treatment of Elano, I might be wrong but I dont remember any accusations relating to training
