I'll tell you what result I wanted from this game when I can see the table at the end of the season!

I quite like the fact that it genuinely matters to us. The last time it was significant to us in any other way than just the pleasure of rags potentially losing was about 1977!

I quite like the fact that it genuinely matters to us. The last time it was significant to us in any other way than just the pleasure of rags potentially losing was about 1977!

It doesn't matter to me at the moment. If we're going to move up, it'll be down to us improving. Not another team collapsing. I don't want the scum to rob us of our glory (if we pull it off) by being able to claim we slipped into the top4 by default, that they pushed Liverpool out of the CL places rather than we earned it.

We need to concentrate on what we need to do. That's far more important than some minor match in October that will have a peripheral effect on the final table.
