I am not kidding.

A title chasing side has a choice of a kid that's played around 20 minutes senior football in his life or an experienced international with a proven goalscoring record in this league to lead their line. Let me get back to you on that one.

I know Bony's struggled to find his feet at City but come on, this is a no brainer.

Bony has to start now, but the pressure on him is the issue. He needs a break he has been very unlucky.

Time to shine for Bony. But if Kün gets 70 mins before being subbed I'd give Bony 60-65 if he goes scoreless.

An on form Kun is irreplaceable but it really is time Bony came to the party. He has had some good moments but in front of goal he has looked to snatch at things. We know he can do it but now he has too.

As for Kelechi if we need him to be the main man it's a big ask. I rate him highly but it's maybe too much to ask him to shine in major premier league games at this stage. The experience he will get though will do him a power of good I am sure and I expect him to do well.

Start Iheanacho in the next game and bring Bony on for or beside him depending on how the game wears on.

Young or not, this guy needs starts to prove his worth, not 5 min cameos.

Agree. And it's Bournemouth FFS! If he can't do it against them he'll struggle anyway.

Id start Nacho ahead of Bony in any game.....Nacho is fast and Bony is a fuckign cart horse..slowest forward in the prem.

Im sure he just looks slow because the other three attackers are the three fastest in the prem...:-)

He runs like Ving Rhames after he got worked over in Pulp Fiction by the gimp and their crew. Bony actually might display more energy in a sideways direction rather than forward when he runs, the bowlegged fucker. Some scientist should test that theory.

cheers

If we want Bony to be confident and score goals we need to build his confidence and start him versus Bournemouth. Bring Nacho on to support him later or even replace. Him, but give the bloke a chance.

Agree with this. A couple of goals and Bony will ooze confidence. KDB and Silva will ensure he gets the service

This, exactly.

A case of preemptive monday morning armchair managing here, so some can make up an excuse to attack Pelle's squad selection before he even does it, as all of us fully know that Bony is our 2nd striker right now and no professional manager at this level would bench him for Nacho already.

Even if Pellegrini might want to play Bony he can't show such lack of confidence in his players so easily. Otherwise he's Mourhino, and even he has stuck with some players this season longer than you might expect.

If Bony falters over a few games then Nacho will probably get his chance, assuming Kun is still out.

I think if Bony plays, the onus is on the three (or five even) behind him to get into the box and score rather than on Bony himself. Bony is often asked to play with his back to goal. And to be honest, if he plays and we win, who cares where the goals come from?

Don't get all the Bony hate. He might be slow, but he has one of the best touches I've ever seen for a big man, it great holding up play, winning balls in the air, and is very intelligent. Once he get his shooting boots on he'll be great.

Also remember he wasn't the best for the first 6 months of his Swansea career. Then Michu (Aguero) got injured, Bony got a run in the team, and he took off. Plus, he'd make a great foil for Nacho to feed of Bony's, dummys, knockdowns, and through-balls.

It could be worse, imagine if we had to rely on Jovetic.

great full debut.

impressive composure and vision for one so young. he needs to keep getting important minutes, not 4 minutes at the end of a Prem game.

For me Kelechi is a great talent, his decision making needs to be better but that will come with game time and age/experience. He chose to shoot from distance last night which shows he is hungry and confident but it was not the right choice, he also chose to pass when he should have been more selfish, but overall, what a talented player. So glad we have him.
