Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Mase wrote:According to Warnock, Delap’s agent is whoring him out to ever Championship club. Ridiculous if true. City should just pick a club that’s going to be challenging for promotion and tell him he’s going there. If we do get Kane though, I’d rather he stayed and work with Kane. Makes no sense for Pep to do that with Foden/Silva but not for other players.
What ? learn from a serial loser and bully who gets away with all kinds cos he's 'Arry ?
Some are letting this transfer fever cloud their thoughts . 'Arry is not that good. We can't build a team around him , like you can with Tin tin .
We have a very stable squad , growing together and only Fern that is on his last legs .
Let's not do a Rodney Marsh again eh ?

Delap off to Stoke on loan. City must be very confident of signing a top striker.
Really stupid if true, and goes against what Pep said about Delap joining the first team this season.
Stoke are probably at the same level as our u-23s.
Maybe he hasn't kicked on and has done something pre season to piss Pep off?
It's very odd he isnt part of the plans

He’s injured, mate.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Ah, that would explain it
Shame for him then. Could've staked a claim for himself

In two minds about this Delap move. One way I want to see him with the 1st team getting some game time. On the other hand regular championship football will be very beneficial to his development and might be the best option in the long run.

Yes and no.
I think players are at risk to get lost when they play in a Championship side or even a small Premier club. They are making the step from playing and training with world-class players to do that with second-tier players, some that can become a bad influence on him at this age.
I think Foden would not have been that good if we would have send him away on loan to play at WBA or another mediocre team. Our loanees did not turn good at all over the last 15 years or so. Maybe just Hart, the rest lost their way.
I would risk it and play him, give him confidence and see if he can deliver.

Have we actually signed anyone yet despite the links and media hysteria?
Don't mention Carson

No we have not.
But I will be very surprised if we do not sign both Grealish and Kane this window.
All the indicators suggest both deals are done.
All the noise is just politics i.e. PR, people protecting their position, future justification, etc...

'Arry not showed up for training this morning - predicted by team mates if he wasn't getting his move

I can see it now. Harry will make his debut for us at Spurs 1st game.
We get a pen, he strides up and blasts it over the bar.
Jack will score though and we'll still win.

Another of the Messi-like gentlemen's agreements. Let him stay at Spurs we will carry on winning the pots without him. I do think we will get Grealish to call Levy's bluff though

You would need to be pretty naive to make a gentleman's agreement with Levy.
Harry's agent is his brother.
I bet neither were very academic at school. Sport was their thing.

And I bet they were bullied.... probably would have been a copper if things hadn't worked out

Grealish is back in training with Villa. Villa fans seem to see this as a sign he’s staying.
Kane has not turned up for a COVID test with Spurs and is apparently refusing to train because he had a gentleman’s agreement with Levy.

Out if the two, though I believe grealish would be a great signing, Kane is more important

I don't care, don't care what they do, don't care what they think, tired of explaining ourselves to these vermins and pointing out their hypocrisy, if they're going to demean us, we might as act filthy rich and spend big (money bags), I want to crush their hopes, I want them feeling deflated, I want them cry injustice, how it's unfair, how we are distorting the marker, I'm enjoying their meltdown as we spend more and more and more.
Fuck them all
