I just don't get handball any more. Yeah his arm is closed, yeah it's unintentional but the ball has slapped his hand stopping a goal bound shot. Penalty all day long.

Never get a hand ball from VAR despite it being a handball that blocked a shot on goal in an unnatural position.

Pep seen the light and pulled Akanji at last . Seeing out the last 20 mins or as a result of Akanji's performance ?

This place is such a crappy echo chamber sometimes. Someone yells that Akanji sucks, and it reverberates over and over over until it becomes the only acceptable truth. Totally ignoring that he's been our best and most consistent defender this season.

Same for Haaland. Best fucking striker in the world, but apparently he needs to be subbed, because he missed three chances, of which only one was a gimmie.

I'm not saying that either of them is above criticism, but for fuck's sake, try to stay a little bit level headed.

It’s the match thread. People are allowed to vent. If you want to police a forum start your own mate

Exactly 100% spot on
Nools- it’s a match thread you BE!

As I said before. Of course people are allowed to vent.

But there's no need for people to be sheep or picking on the fat guy to impress the popular crowd.

Akanji, what a player for such a price. No BE in you, only you backing a possible PL winner.

Love the fact that they’re treating this as a start of season game, Sky are so fucking shite.

Love to see stats on how far Haaland runs in a game. Feet of lead, treading water in treacle

Noticed how the commentary changed very quickly from talking about the unprecedented 4 in a row to the cup final next week and bigging up the rags

So proud of this team. Getting four in a row is an incredible accomplishment. Pep really deserves a lot of credit to keep the players motivated and hungry. And Txiki too. We've done really well replacing key parts of the squad without weakening it (too much), or keeping players too long and having the team getting complacent.

Been quietly impressed with Gvardiol again today. Has dropped into midfield nicely

Like Doku, but I’d like him to learn another trick apart from flapping his right foot and cutting inside. He’d be class then
