Possession football gets you fuck all against teams like Sunderland. If we'd have gone at them like fuck when we were on top it would have been easy.

Unless, of course, we would've scored with those two golden chances, in which case we would have won.

Enough of the defensive midfield now, and get rid of Lescot

Same old city, the oppos get stuck in and we go missing.Did Ya Ya or de Jong touch it in the second half? This is how teams will play us all season. There is gonna be some fun and games if we dont learn to keep the ball.

The 1st half's mistake from Carlitos was so terrible! By the way we played a decent 1st half and a poor 2nd.
Roberto seems too nervous today, he lose control of the game making too late subs!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

What the fuck did Lescott do wrong? It was Barry then went charging in and then Richards gave the penalty away.

Ade didn't exactly shower himself in glory either... he won ONE header... most of the times he didn't even try. And why the fuck would you bring on Jo for Tevez....

Top teams put there chances away, tevez was half asses when he chipped it over the ball. Not what you expect from him, playing away the home team will always get a chance no matter who they are in this league. We lost because we didnt take our chances.

Wow, the negativity on here is insane.

We will lose games this season you know. Doesn't mean we are shit geez.

If we had got the pen in the 92nd min. Everyone would be jolly and merry. Manic depressive forum this sometimes!

That's a joke to try and blame this game on Richards. He played a great game, defended well, almost set up a goal for adebayor, but got caught out of a position by an offside striker for the penalty. If anything, blame Tevez. He changed the whole game for the worse with his failure to tuck that ball into the goal. They don't get much easier than that...

The longer we failed to score the more they fancied it. Conceding a dodgy pen in time added on shouldn't have mattered, we should have been 2 or 3 up by then anyway.

Well said.
We should've taken our chances.
That's three points lost.

You're forgetting the possibility that they would've counter attacked us to death. I'm not saying that it would've happened. Just that it could've.

And I don't find it too unlikely that your aunt actually is your uncle.

I think we're entitled to a few knee-jerks in the immediate aftermath of another diabolical defeat - usual rationality will resume later on!

We'll be back next week. Put it down to gelling.

You didn't think we were going to win every game did you?

I'd be more disappointed if the stream hadn't of stopped 5 mins before the end.

I'm used to results like this. Water off a ducks back. We'll be ok, Sunderland looked good in that second half. Wellbeck looked very handy for them.

IMO, we lost it with the tactics. The second half seemed more like the first half at Spurs, with them realising we would sit back and let them come on to us. Mancini screaming from the side-lines is not going to help a team who have no outlet whatsoever, not allowing any form of optional play other than to pass it out of defence - even though we tried.

Lesson learnt, hopefully.
