Very sad, this would not have happened if Hughes was still manager. Could have been the difference tonight.

Robinho did seem much happier under Hughes I agree. His form has got worse if anything since Mr Mancini came aboard.

What's sad about the whole thing is that on the night when we were attempting to reach the first cup final ina lifetime, the so called talisman and beacon of a new dawn for city was negotiating his loan move back to santos. Thanks Robinho.

Robbie's living in his own bubble. Hughes, Mancini, Mourinho, Wenger, Non Important.
The boy stopped playing for us the start of the season, his head isn't here anymore, no manager on earth would have changed that.

What a pointless argument!!
Who knows or who cares what Hughes might or might not have done.
It's completely irrelevant now ...... on with Mancini. Until he gets sacked off course!
Robi is a great player, but not the type of player we need at the moment.
Was he even there tonight? If not ..... that says it all really.
Relax ... It's only a message board in hyperspace!!

From OS:
The Club can confirm that it has reached agreement with Santos for Robinho to join them on a six-month loan. The agreement takes immediate effect and ends on August 4.
Santos will assume all of the player's contract terms, including wages and bonuses. Robinho will travel to Brazil on Sunday to begin his loan period.
Manager Roberto Mancini said: "Robinho is someone who needs to be playing regularly and we wish him well for the period of his loan."
Robinho joined City on the final day of the transfer window of summer 2008 for a British record fee of £32.5m from Real Madrid.
He signed on the first day of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed's ownership and enjoyed a fine season, ending the campaign as top scorer with 15 goals, including a hat-trick against Stoke.
Robinho, who left Santos for Real Madrid in 2005, is first choice for Brazil, with whom he won the Confederations Cup last summer, but fears a lack of match action will jeopardise his place.

Good nice and quick. Well done to the club for getting this over and done with quick.
Now sign a new striker to replace him.

Cassano is not a bad shout, but probably won't happen now. But if the rumours about Johnson and Moses hold truth, those 2 could do for now.

Can't find any details on who is paying his wages. Hope to god we aren't because that would be embarassing.
Hope he has a blinding WC and comes back ready for action next season. We can always send him back when it gets a bit colder in November!

I'd be happy with them. Certainly less risk than the crazy genius cassano, that said cassano is a wizard with the ball and worth the risk....
Whoever it is, it's clear now, we need another striker!
(and a midfielder and full back....)
