Pelli will have fun with this squad. Looks well balanced with real quality. Great signing, could be like have a Kinkladze with top players around him.

on each tweet...in the bottom right hand corner is a "more" button. Click that and select "Embed Tweet" and just copy the code that comes up -- which is the entire Embed URL. Inside the string after you paste it you will find a string of numbers like MRM shows above which is the unique tweet ID. Delete the entire rest of the text except for the set of numbers after the <a href> portion of that code...it will follow the word statuses/

so i did this and grabbed the code from some random tweet in my feed:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Winter is coming..</p>&mdash; Reuven Cohen (@rUv) <a href="https://twitter.com/rUv/statuses/357957315279851520">July 18, 2013</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

then i just created the new tweet block[tweet][/tweet] and grabbed this string of numbers from the code above....

357957315279851520

and i'll paste in inbetween the tweet tags just like you would with an image or anything else. Make sense?

[tweet]357957315279851520[/tweet]

Sort of Mike i will give it a whirl thanks.

Unless they are specific I think we just call them attacking forwards nowadays mate.

I guess we're looking at:

Hart
Zaba Vinnie ? Clichy
Toure Fernandinho
Navas Silva Jovetic
Aguero

But in what world are the new players automatic starters?

Dzeko, nasri, Milner, Barry Rodwell. Are they all dropped from day 1, without even seeing any of the new players in action? What did we buy negredo for?. Is Garcia getting sold, he seems to be our 5th choice CM/DM. Vinnie was gash last season and so was aguero and silva for that matter so on what basis are they starters?. Milner usually starts a season well so navas shouldn't really be ahead of him without kicking a ball in anger. As for jovetic he has a history of injuries, can we rely on him, knee injuries tend to be re-occurring issues and sometimes never fully heal.

I think we will see a lot of rotation. We can't drop all our best and established players and we can't just leave our new signings on the bench.. Especially if we are talking about a shifting formation as well.

I think rotation will be the only answer. But saying that, IMO the defence should not be changed for PL and CL games. These players need consistency and should only be replaced if injuries occur.

I also believe strikers who are on a run of form should retain there place also, as we all know, confidence is vital in this position.

Midfield can be altered game by game depending on the opposition. We can go for strength, skill or a mixture of the two.

I'm with you. Not a fan of this formation nonsense. We have a good base & have added lots of good options now, but so far (preseason!) they are just that. Options. Let's wait & see what the Count has planned & whether the new boys have what it takes to break into the starting lineup on a regular basis.

Regarding Garcia; he's been deployed as a CB earlier & I could see Pellegrini going for that if we don't bring anyone in, as we're stocked in midfield but shy a seasoned CB.

Don't let NQDP see this. He'll swear black and blue that it's a 4-2-2-2, you'll argue and then he'll challenge you to a sail off around the world.

honestly, i find the formation posts some of the most interesting on this forum. As someone who didn't play the game as a youth i learn something new almost every time.

I think with the signings we've made so far, we can actually become a team with some adaptability.

A big criticism against mancini was that he never had a real plan B, except for the ill fated 352 ... but I don't think we ever had the players to be truly adaptable at a high level. We've got players now that can play in diff positions and in different styles, and I'm hoping we're going to see a bit of a tactical renaissance this season.

I'm really excited for the season to start, especially with moyes crapping himself left and right at the swamp.

Judging a 11 minute video on the first 90 seconds? Only on mcf.net. Don't expect a goal fest, it's more about showcasing his ability to hold, dribble, flick & pass the ball. Although there is one cracking effort in there.

But I wonder how a 12/13 season video can have Nastasic in it?

Is Nasri going to be a City player next season? We are running out of regular 1st team spots and while I think he is very talented, Nasri really has failed to perform consistently.
