If anything, the two assistants left more of a mark than Pep, especially after Lillo seemed half-asleep on the bench last season. We’re still wedded to the same tippy-tappy Plan A, with no real deviation. We've had more of a player form phase, rather than some tactical mastermind.

It feels uncomfortably like 2023/24 again: cruise control engaged, but with too many gaps, too many things still missing.

Barcelona didn't manage to punish Chelsea ruthlessly.
We've already beaten RM away which is an improvement on 23/24 and I'll gladly take the same PL outcome as 23/24

Barcelona played in ten men most of the time and Real Madrid, besides not having Mbappe, they also lost to Scouse and seem to throw their manager under the bus.
2023/24 for me means being in cruise mode, ignoring the flaws just because the patches work and others (in the league) are shite.

Ahhh did Real not have Mbappe. Imagime if they didn't have a Balon Dor winner for a year.
I'm sure we'll win stuff when Pep goes, 100 poinys, 4 in a rpw, domestic treble, treble though. I doubt it

Stu mate, you're wasting your time fighting Peps corner when it comes to certain posters.

There are about half a dozen very voiceferous, very angry on here that have made their minds up and forcing their opinions on everyone else.

If they keep saying it long enough it has to be true.... problem is it has become tiresome, to the point of ridiculousness, that when they post in this thread, I see their name and scroll on past.

The topic needs changing to 'anger management, christ I need help & its all Peps fault'

Cue the angry anti pep crew, name calling me, you or anyone else who doesn't want Pep gone hey shit happens. Let them be angry, life is too short to be so angry....

I love Pep so much I bought a pillow with his face on, I've got Pep posters plastered all over my bedroom, one of them in his underwear.
I think the board were guilty not backing him, Poor Pep had to cope with shoestring budget every year, it was so bad he had to flog Palmer on the cheap to keep us a float. However he want out of his way against the board to keep Savio, Pep stood his ground this time. Lets face it, the board refused to buy him a right back, he was forced to convert a 53m midfielder into that position, poor Pep had to adjust because his tight arsed board wouldn't back him.His decision to play no DM in champions league final was magical and genius. I wish all fans understand that substitutions are only affective in the last minute or two not early in the game. Pep believes you must stick by your decisions even if they are wrong and the whole world can see it being wrong.

There you go Hants, copy and paste it, we shouldn't bother having an opinion based on what we see.

P.s to all angry posters, if you ever feel getting angry and about to express your opinion, please start licking Pep's poster to defuse and suppress your opinion/ emotions.

It's nonsensical mind boggling posts like this that make me think that some people are beyond help, or have a clear agenda.

Pep is not beyond reproach as he does get it wrong. He is not perfect, but the way some people post, you would think he was slur Alex in disguise. The lack of respect and acknowledgement of what he has done for us, the fact that he has brought us the teams and trophies of our dreams seems to hold no water with some.

The fact that this thread has the title it does when we are going very strong in all competitions is crackers. The fact that some posters are doubling down on their dumbass comments says more about them than anything else.

You're judging human characters from a football thread? When Pep retires, I'll praise him on his legendary success. As things stand and on recent form, he'll be judged accordingly. I don't doubt his achievements, I find it mind boggling when we're winning its all down to him and when we're shit, its the players and his pay master's fault.
Some of his decisions stem from stubbornness which irks many supporters. Just because you criticise, doesn't mean you dont back him and the team, every supporter is entitled to criticise his poor decisions

zabbadabbado wrote:As my title says, Pep has to go at the end of this Season.

We are winning fuck all this year. It will be a miracle if we do.

We are a right fucking mess. The Football has become dire, like really dire, boring slow insipid shit every game, no exceptions. Even wins have become difficult to watch. The players resemble over coached Robots. Any individuality and spontaneity coached out of them, to play a system that never works against decent sides. It is terrible. You take Halland Donnarumma out of our side you are looking at a team that would not even make top 6.We all know it.

There were times during Sunday game at Villa i was not even sure what Pep game plan was to begin with. It was like watching Under 8s. Literally no midfield against an average side who play on the counter for over an Hour. It was insane, he has set us up like this before, notably against the Rags in a Derby at the Swamp, when we should have been 4-0 down at half time. It defies belief a Manager on £10,000 000 a Season can only come up with a game plan that actually plays to opponents strengths.

Our fitness has become another major issue for me. I think we spend that much time in training doing only slow walking football passing drills it has been neglected. Any side with a bit of intensity we fold like a Deck Chair, we can not compete, we are physically unable to do so.

We let Pep Head the major rebuild before he walks off in to the distance to go Golfing. Look at the State of all the signings he has made, not cheap either. And still even now no recognised Right Back, still he fucks about with the defence moving players left and Right. I have a theory he deliberately doesn't sign any recognised Left/Right Back so he can feed his desire to fuck about rotating players in to those positions. When we win it is his genius. Pep refusing £70,000 000 from Spurs for Savinho,( let that sink in). Literally 99% of City fans can see the Guy is shit. Now Pep plays him out of spite to try and prove he knows better than everyone else. He literally produces nothing. Echeveri should be here and Savinho at Pep Brother Club, Pep brother doesn't want Duds obviously.

We have the Rodri issue still going on. Sadly he will likely never recover enough to return to what he was because of that type of injury. Not like it didn't fuck last season up for us. Yet still a Season later all we have is Gonzalez. How the fuck does a top Tier Manager allow this to even happen ?

I have mentioned before that People connected to the Club have said it has all become very un professional after once being envied globally, Jobs for the Guys sort of set up. We even managed to bring in a worse set piece Coach than the last( that took some fucking doing).

Talk of us giving Pep a shit load of the Etihad Sponsorship in January, after giving him a shit load in the last 2,3, transfer Windows that have all turned in to "Ones for the future" the terminology used to define bad signings. That would be the worst mistake we could make at this stage. It could put us in the wilderness for 10 years.

Our problem now is a Manager and system whose best days have come and gone. Throwing more money at the problem will not solve the bigger issues we have going on at the Club. And to be honest Pep is incompetent in the transfer Market. We can not trust him with our future anymore. We are going to need a "Fire Sale" when he goes.

All good things come to an end, we will all be forever grateful for the success Pep delivered. Now is the time though to say thanks for the memories Pep. We need to move in a different direction for the good of the Club. The Decline actually started in our last Title winning season. We saw that standards had begun to drop that Season, the recruitment had become bad. The system was being countered much more effectively by the top teams. Last Season it got much worse. I think we need to prepare our selves for the first Season in over 10 years where i think the Rags might actually finish higher than us in the League. That will come as a bit of a shock to some. It is where we are likely to be at after.3 Seasons of dropping standards. No room for sentimentality living on past Glory in Football.

We can not go another season of this shit insipid football, we need major changes.

Starting with the Manager.

In a mess eh ?

Still in all four major competitions, young team starting to gel. Not perfect but looking good going into twelve weeks of two games a week in all four major competitions. Is the glass still half empty for you or on a positive note, half full ?

Actually at the game yesterday, it was great to see things that the cameras still manage to miss.

“If you criticise Pep you’re just angry and need therapy” ?? Really?
This thread didn’t spring up out of nowhere in some blind fucking rage fit – it started fucking weeks ago when we were playing absolute shite, with no clear direction, tactics that were painfully predictable, subs that came too late or not at all, and dropping points we had no business dropping. Fans aren’t “forcing opinions” or “doubling down on dumbass comments” – we’re reacting to what’s actually happening on the pitch, plain and simple. And yeah, surprise surprise - when the team clicks (like this recent run), the mood lifts. That doesn’t magically erase the frustrations from before.
You do realise you can fucking criticise the manager, players, or tactics even when we’re winning, right? It’s not a crime to point out flaws while still being a massive fan of what Peps achieved.
Maybe some of the softer fans who can’t handle differing opinions should start their own little echo-chamber board where everyone has to follow the same narrative. Or, failing that, I’d strongly suggest they grow a fucking pair and deal with the fact that not everyone’s going to worship every decision blindly.

That's because of Pep? Hahahahahahahhaha you're easily the thickest person on here.

You keep naming the things that we're doing well and claiming it's because of Pep  Foden, Cherki, Haaland - that's why we've scored so many.

I'm the thickest person on here- coming from you. You really don't understand the meaning of irony.
It's nothing to do with Pep then is it Einstein. That's clear then we don't need a manager.
You keep claiming it's Peps fault when we're shit ( a few months in 1 season) but not when we're doing well ( the other 9 years or so)
And by the way we both know the " clear agenda" was nothing to do with watching decent football.

I can't even argue with you Stu, after you gave it the big one back in May saying, "let's meet up then!' and when I told you I'd be there before the next game you gave it "actually I'll be on the minutes so can't" you're a character Stu.

Last season -
Pep refused to change his tactics
Made ridiculous subs during matches that ended up costing us
Forced Gundo in when it was clear his legs were gone

This season -
Haaland has carried us with goals
Cherki has come in and been class, despite Pep telling him to stop his flare
Foden has stepped up again

Hope that helps.

Wasn't me giving it the big one. You asked to meet up, couldn't understand why then and still can't.
It's " flair" by the way.
