I don't agree. There's been several crosses going in this game and that's supposed to be his thing. Yet he's failed to show on several occassions. I think we played his type of game today, at least as much as we ever will, and he failed to show up. Poor.

I wouldnt say that we had some quality crosses today. Everything went on the first post... as far as I recall tbf.

Yeah aint it great? It's wonderful to have a reliable Kompany again. It's been like... 1,5 seasons since he was this good.

Agree about Nastasic as well, although it's still very early. I do however like the fact that he plays simple instead of overcomplicating things. I also think Mancini likes the fact that he has 11 reliable passers on the field when he plays Nastasic (if Dzeko isn't playing).

The fact that we've been to Chelsea with Kolarov & Nastasic in the team & looked solid is an enormous bonus. Last season, with Savic, we would have been a shambles. The question is whether we can do it without Vinny. He was great today, as was Zabba.

Well I can't really be arsed with determining the exact quality of the crosses but they were good enough. A couple of them came on break throughs even, which is also supposed to be his thing.

Kolarov is a worse passer than Dzeko. If I were up against Kolarov I would shield off any passing possibility he has with his left foot and he'd be fucked. He can only use his right one to stand on.

The only cross that was even close to him he headed on to Kun for the chance of thee match. There was one more in the second half towards the second post that he perhaps should have gotten to.

You might be right there, perhaps I'm just blinded by the quality of his crosses. But can't one give him cred for always being able to pass it with his left foot although everyone knows he can't use his right foot?

I remember two that just flew over the penalty area, one of which Dzeko chased after to the side lines.

I cant not to notice that you're riding on Dzeko's back today, dunno why?

@ city fans

Im satisfied with the point and a clean sheet today. We had a few chances, they had also... cant complain about this one.
Could have been prettier, more effective, but.. Job well done.

What you saying Ted? Savic has gone, Mancini got the defence right, what are you saying compared to last season? Vinnie is our captain, lose him and you lose the heart of a team. We're stronger now, Nasti has shown that. A few mistakes, yes, but he's proved himself with his outlet.

Perhaps because he let himself down this game? Or better, why don't you tell me why you think I'm critizising him? Please?

Fuck sake, Dzeko did very well. It's not his fault none of our Spanish speaking players want to give him the ball.

Because I think that today the passing wasnt his problem, not more than anyone's. Nor this season eiter.
Today, his problem was that he wasnt in the middle of what went on, maybe he should have asked the ball more, try to be open...

Also, we still tend to pass the ball back to our defence when we get to the corner flag or on the edge of the box... I just hate when they do that.

Thought Vinny was largely excellent today (had a couple of nervy moments towards the end of the game) especially considering he was carrying a knock. Nastasic keeps improving with each game and I can't see Lescott getting back in the side. Zaba was excellent as usual but Yaya and especially Aguero had poor games. Kolarov is shit
