Nothing was coming off for Bernardo but at least he was trying to beat his man and create stuff. Phil didn't even try to, just played it simple every time. Only 1 creating anything was Kev, I'd have taken Silva and Foden off and put Grealish and Alvarez on.

Agree with this, cannot understand why Alvarez was not used

We are now already in the chumps league next game and league game after frame of mind. I thought one of Haaland or Alvarez would be rested yesterday surprised it was not Haaland. Tuesday and then late Saturday so expect us to go full strength Tuesday get the game won and then sub the starters for Spuds.

I am in Spain atm, it’s still hot, we are south east Valencia, 40 k from Alicante, it’s been mid 30’s all week, I know game is at night, but I wonder if the heat will have an affect on the game, Sevilla would usually be hotter than where we are, just saying.

Injured. He had a problem first half but played on. Came off in the second because he couldn’t carry on. Pep said he hadn’t spoken to the medical team so has no idea how bad it is.

Walker’s one of the first names on the team sheet so that’s a bit of a disappointment. However, moving Cancelo to the right and bringing Gomez in on the left may prove fruitful.

Yeah they’ll just target the right now instead of the left. He needs to tweak things anyway or they’ll have our pants down on the counter attack as always, particularly after recent performances. Somehow I doubt he’ll change anything though

I wouldn’t mind if he actually came out and admitted it - in the past , through gritted teeth , when pressed on certain tactical fuckups he’s made, he’s actually admitted his mistake .

Yesterday , playing the same fucking team that didn’t work against Newcastle he went with the same formation against Villa ffs!!

I wouldn’t mind but the only change he made was to take off an injured Walker for Ake and go to a back 3 !!

We all saw it wasn’t working and were crying out for Alvarez to come on so why can’t Baldie see this ?

Actually , he can see it but is too arrogant in his ways to change his mind - more often than not he’s right but when he gets it wrong he really gets it wrong and it’s fucking maddening for most of us fans .

Mark my words.
City will be the only unbeaten side in the PL by 19:30 on Saturday. If we’d just been a little more clinical yesterday we’d have won comfortably and it took a screamer just to get a draw against us.

The Villa goal was a cracker, to be fair. One wonders if some of thes teams were given a free reign they might be more entertaining , as Newcastle were. Instead of getting all eleven back in the penalty area and hoping, just hoping for the one off , like yesterday.

Seems a point wasn’t so bad and Pep’s prophecy that Villa will give 100% against us came true.

We are still early is our season compared to most, our game against Spurs, will give us a feel of where our players are at.

Get rid of baldie

I think you’ll find that CFtG is not advocating getting rid of Baldie, he is just saying that with this team, he would’ve won more.

I think it’s time to give Carl a chance.
